xorandor··on Top workers more likely to want to quit when companies have strict RTO mandates
Our team is global, working from home maximizes our timezone overlap, plus my company gets 2 hours out of me for free everyday because I'm not sitting on a train for that time. Those are quantifiable benefits, what is the truth that you are alluding to? If it's so compelling, please provide details.
xorandor··on Amazon Pip Horror Story
(dare I ask what a dev plan (pip) is?) quick google check...

Development plan is a regular plan which you do with your manager, where you are focusing on your career progress. You focus on your strengths and weaknesses. Based on this plan you will get tasks which will utilize skills you are good at and also help you to improve skills you want to have improved.

PIP is a plan which is assigned to employees with unsatisfactory results. It's a few months long plan where you got assigned some tasks you should complete. If you are not able to complete them in time, you are fired.

Your comment is ageist, derogatory and smacks of fanboism.
xorandor··on mmWave radar, you won't see it coming
> mmWave radar used inside the cabin as a sensor to detect a child left behind in a hot car

Call me a cynic but since the power button stopped being a power button I have trust issues. In the end we'll have mmWave chips our company devices that can tell middle managers if we've been at our desk for all 28,800 seconds of the work day and exactly how hard we've been working, that's a more likely outcome than saving a kid in a hot car.

They're going to be going after somebody pretty soon to recoup that cost, probably had someone in mind before they concluded the deal. Hold on to your hats, incoming!
