There is a reason why Gavin McInnes left.
In this case some developers actual go further down the tool rabbit hole and start building tools that build tools..and they wonder why they fail.
The real fear for cab drivers seem to be self driving cars even more than Uber.
If you want to see mob involvement related to cars you want to look at the towing industry, but generally they stick to the money, which is construction.
His basic point was related to bitcoin being not great "beyond store of value and speculation.", and how etherium is magically going to avoid that with killer apps.... sure...that is bubble speak for solving problems that don't actually exist.
The fact that all this drama is being publicly aired and used as a weapon does not put Zero Hedge in a good light, it's almost like Bloomberg baited them into this defensive posture.
If you want bitcoin to succeed talk about the technology and adoption, this is a complex enough topic in of itself with many real issues. The success of bitcoin depends on this 100%.
If you want to talk about economic saviorism cut the bullshit, it has a nagtive effect on bitcoin. Putting people down you don't know is a sure sign of immaturity that will get you no where and you have exemplified what is wrong with the bitcoin community 2x in this very thread.
Stay with the facts and reality, a.k.a. the technology, statements like the above create a toxic environment in which the bitcoin community currently finds itself deeply mired in.

The server would need to be re-written for native support since it uses UDP, but I think it might be possible using a 3rd party like onioncat.
The goal of the developers is simply a marketplace client, which seems misguided.
It went viral very fast, I think it would have been a great idea to say that each "regional' media representative would be disclosing more info within the next couple of weeks.. on the website!
And if some important info was not disclosed regionally there would also be a follow up, because right now you have to admit.. not many Western names are showing up if any ( don't mention Cameron and the others since this was already exposed pre-leak).
The journalists need to be more transparent about the data and why these individuals were picked first, and how the data release is going to work.
I hope for your sake you don't have to vectorize everyone mentioned in the data.
In the case it's a leak which is being funnelled by the reporters.
Maybe this is because of legal reasons, I have no idea, but would it not be better they just dumped the whole data set onto the web?
People don't seem to understand what I mean by the above^.
The question is would it not be better to dump the entire data set to the public, instead of it being funnelled by reporters?
http://www.fatf-gafi.org/countries/#Panama
"The FATF recognised that Algeria, Angola and Panama have made significant progress in improving their regimes to combat money laundering and terrorist financing and will therefore no longer be subject to the FATF’s monitoring process."
Also let's not forgot about the CIA's asset Noriega and decades of money laundering which started all this, including recently trying to wipe cloud data off a Nevada company logs. http://www.mcclatchydc.com/news/nation-world/national/articl...
tl;dr - This is a multi-state G20 planned leak and not the work of some moral insider or hacker, the money laundering world is becoming a difficult place for outsiders. Real leaks don't have fancy websites with responsive vectorized portraits and a full on content /social media structure.
This is certainly one area the tech sector can tackle (maybe with smart contracts) but it's years away and requires a lot of effort in the financial space.
If you miss a target it doesn't mean you learn how to make the target better.
