wungsten··on How I accidentally took down GitHub Actions (2019)
I suppose they might have figured the "New Workflow" UI that can add Starter Workflows is a suitable replacement.

wungsten··on Out-of-control Chinese rocket expected to fall to Earth in the coming days
They meant China should re-think, not the victims.
wungsten··on Work with GitHub Actions in Your Terminal with GitHub CLI
Yes. You can authenticate "other tools" using a personal access token or GitHub App. https://docs.github.com/en/rest/reference/actions
wungsten··on Roaring Kitty to testify on GameStop alongside hedge fund managers
He continued to post daily updates of his held options until I believe 5 February, but I'm not sure what he did after that. I'm not sure if anyone but him knows, since that was around the time he was summoned by this committee.

As of that last update he was still holding most of his options, but it is believed that he had converted at least some of them and profited more than $10 million.

I don't have a better source than random Reddit comments, though.

Actually, tslint is deprecated now, and the community effort has moved to typescript-eslint.

wungsten··on VS Code on a Remote Server
The Eclipse Che project (which I believe Theia is part of) is also very exciting in this domain.
wungsten··on Linux 5.0-rc1
Any reason you choose :)

This is the case in Chrome but not in Firefox (private mode)
wungsten··on The Octopus Is Smart as Heck, But Why?

wungsten··on Comparison of text editing methods
This is a cool idea! I can see it being totally feasible and definitely useful as a piece of software (not part of your keyboard) toggled by a key combination.
wungsten··on All Things Sales: Mini-lessons for startup founders
Awesome work. I'll always take print over video.
wungsten··on My favorite apps on F-Droid
I would agree that in general open source software is less likely to contain such things, since anyone who inspects the source would find the bad stuff.
wungsten··on My favorite apps on F-Droid
I can't speak for the UK, but my leases have definitely stipulated that you can't change the locks without notifying the landlord and providing them with a key.
wungsten··on Spotify Form F-1
I have this feature on my Android. The thumbs up and down appear to the left and right of the big Play button on the Now Playing screen, only while you're listening to Spotify playlist/album radio.
wungsten··on In One Tweet, Kylie Jenner Wiped Out $1.3B of Snap's Market Value
Another user pointed out that Snap released their first annual earnings report since IPO this morning, which seems a far more likely cause :)
wungsten··on In One Tweet, Kylie Jenner Wiped Out $1.3B of Snap's Market Value
That is certainly a much more likely cause of the devaluing.
wungsten··on Ask HN: How should I afford my children?
He responded to another comment which asked why he is homeschooling, if you're interested.
wungsten··on The Big Business of Prisoner Care Packages
That may be true, but this system punishes the families trying to support their loved ones as much as it does the prisoners themselves.
wungsten··on An open source re-implementation of RollerCoaster Tycoon 2
If you want to buy the game, it regularly goes on sale for less than $2 on GOG
wungsten··on Counterintuitive problem: People in a room keep giving dollars to random others
I'd like to see you try programming a simulation with that in mind :)
wungsten··on Cisco's Talos team analysis of WannaCry worm
I wouldn't say I "can't wait" for car viruses, but I do worry about all the stupid remote/automated features being advertised these days. You just know it's going to be exploited, and cars are at the top of my list of things that should be as safe and secure as possible.
wungsten··on Cisco's Talos team analysis of WannaCry worm
any file can be plain text if you want it to be ;)
wungsten··on Alphabet’s Sidewalk Labs Eyes Toronto for Its Digital City
The problem is that U of T spans some of the best real estate in the city, and obviously students want to live near there.
wungsten··on Autodraw – Fast Drawing for Everyone
Gboard is on Android too, and the swyping is excellent for those who use that.
wungsten··on Dolphins' elaborate octopus-hunting strategy
You're right, they're not. I wonder what the cause of death was, then.
