wrong_internet··on Born for it – How the image of software developers came about
No, the consensus of scientists who actually study this is pretty strong, and supports the parent's post. Jayman has collected a nice sequence of citations on the matter, most of which are peer-reviewed:

https://jaymans.wordpress.com/hbd-fundamentals/#Race-IQ

Much effort has been made to minimize the effect of poverty, stereotyping, and other non-hereditary factors in much of the literature.

Most people downvoting the parent are likely doing so because this research is uncomfortable, not because it is wrong.

There's also the 130+ IQ group of neoreactionaries who like Trump from a perspective informed by history.
wrong_internet··on Cock.li e-mail server seized by German authorities, admin announces
OP specifically asked if it was pursuant to an MLAT obligation. That alone makes it clear they were asking in earnest.
wrong_internet··on Thepiratebay.com domain has been suspended
Huh? Unless your endpoint peers directly with your ISP, you always route over unknown third party networks.
wrong_internet··on Chemical clears Alzheimer's protein and restores memory in mice
Pretty sure Alzheimer's isn't good for you, either.

I'd take any health risks over dementia, personally, and I'm sure most would, too. Looking forward to the FDA blocking this on "safety" grounds.

wrong_internet··on Martin Shkreli Arrested on Securities Fraud Charges
You missed the OP's point. Most of us unknowingly commit major crimes in the course of our day, just given the sheer volume of statutes arrayed against us.

OP is referring to when prosecutorial discretion permits "the powers that be" to use this fact against people who fall into disfavor.

Is it not illegal to not report a crime?

Pretty sure this only applies to the ethics standards of psychiatrists, et. al. I don't think a normal citizen is required to report crime.

wrong_internet··on The sky's gone dark
Side note: peak oil is still very much a thing. Enhanced recovery and fracturing of source rocks bought us about another 15 years, but the Seneca cliff is still there.
wrong_internet··on How Sick Is the Stock Market?
The stock market on the other hand, indicates the overall health of the country.

I think the parent's ultimate point is that no country (by which I mean under the same constitution, monetary system, or de facto political arrangement) has lasted longer than a few hundred years.

Even if everything seems economically fine right now and for the foreseeable future, at some point all countries and their associated economies go away and are replaced by something else entirely, at which point the stock market index within said structure goes to at or near zero.

You just need to take a longer time horizon than "when I retire".

wrong_internet··on Stripe Is the New PayPal
It should be pointed out that traditional merchant gateway providers (larger, with more resources) are WORSE than stripe in this regard. Prior to stripe, we used cybersource. It was a support disaster, to say the least.
wrong_internet··on Stripe Is the New PayPal
You are likely not a Stripe customer, because this is patently false. They forward all disputed charges to you and give you a window to provide evidence that the dispute is invalid.
