wnevets··on Muse – Meta’s personal AI agent
> There are 3 billion users of FB/WhatsApp/Instagram combined

Is there tho? I have Facebook account but don't use it in any meaningful way. I'm certainly not feeding it any new data. I'm curious to know what percentage of that 3 billion are zombie accounts like mine.

wnevets··on Gmail to end support for "Send as" for third-party addresses, such as @yahoo.com
> we occasionally have the difficult choice to discontinue features that require disproportionate maintenance resources.

Am I really expected to believe that the billions of dollars the company makes in pure profit can't sustain this feature? Am I really expected to believe the touted productively gains granted by Google's AI can't sustain this feature?

wnevets··on The federal keyword lists that canceled billions in research funding

Her mother might want to get her evaluated, the teacher said. In March 2023, Mei was diagnosed with global developmental delay, a broad label with many causes. Rough year for the cranky geeks cast.
wnevets··on LG to ban residential proxies from smart TV apps
> Major US ISPs (Comcast, AT&T) should detect clearly suspicious activity coming from customer IPs and warn them to scan their computers, check their TV apps, and find whatever is turning their internet into a proxy. It's very bad for the customers too (slows things down, gets their IP banned, etc)

Does having TLS everywhere make this much harder?

wnevets··on DOGE is done. What happened to its records?
Why is a goverments debt only brought up when it comes to feeding starving children but not when subsiding oil companies, football stadiums, data centers, or spacex? We always seem to have enough money to do those things.

Edit: Not to mention billions sent to ICE.

wnevets··on DOGE is done. What happened to its records?
Because feeding starving children is the right thing to do.
wnevets··on DOGE is done. What happened to its records?
