If you don't mind me asking, what does a sales role within the defense industry entails? I am only familiar with the big expos and (sort of) public tenders for specific things like PPE

I don't think cars are the biggest issue here though, most people I know seem to be worried about the lack of third spaces that are clean and wouldn't expose their children to crime or drug use for example.

Hey, the save file breaks notepad++ when I try to open it. Is it ok if I ask you what's inside? Just curious :D

>edit: nevermind, I managed to open it after the third try, there must be something wrong on my end lol

People always mention the pizza but I don't think it's that good to be honest, for some reason the crust is always soft and the toppings are so basic that makes domino's look a million times better. The meat and asado really are great though

You just need to imagine that for every step of the way (say manufacturing, packaging and transport) there's a bribe (not necessarily to avoid a justified fine) for whatever official was supposed to take care of it. Corruption in South America is pretty much a way of life

This one (although it works with any link he owns) , just so you know it's NSFW https://www.dnalounge.com/backstage/log/2006/04/

Very nice! What ended up happening on the small day boat you worked on?

I just love what happens when you click a link from HN and it's something related to jwz. Why does he do it though?

>legal to hook a 2 stroke up to a bike

It's rather common where I live, not weird at all. Those are only loud when unmodified and every kit comes with a standard gas tank, perhaps banning them altoghether isn't an answer?

>I know lots of people hated Angular

Why would they hate on angular? Isn't just another framework

Apparently computers are crappy along the enitre DoD huh, I've heard that form every branch now. Your job definitely sounds interesting, did you have to go through SERE or is it just pilots?

That's awesome! What do you fly in? I'd love to know more about your day :D

I mean, our agricultural system was highly dependent on fertilizer from Russia. I don't think that it's all price gouging right?

Get ready for the egg prices to go up now, something similar happened in my country and now we are paying triple. What's going on with food production?

There's a problem with your reasoning though, the Moskva was built/used as a seaborne S-300 plattform. Air denial is a big part of Soviet/russian doctrine and that role fits very well within the Russian strategy (limiting NATO from what they consider "their" territory i.e the Black sea and the Baltics)

But what if Sisyphus is happy though?

I can't believe there isn't an infinity mode on those games, I can't wait for tomorrow's article tbh

I wonder if by using the statistically most used words one could automate at least a big part of the guessing process

These drones are pretty interesting to look at and make you wonder how much of their parts are actually off the counter purchases

I didn't know water.css but I am certainly gonna use it. Thanks!!

Well, I agree with what you say but there's the small issue that russia both doctrinally and economically is not in a position to do that in the near future. The RuAF is really in a pitiful state hindered by decades of corruption and the political will of mantaining way too many legacy aircraft

The ukrainians have rather skillfully denied their airspace to the russians using their own AD assets and as a consequence of russian doctrine, they aren't too prepared to deal with SEAD missions so we get this weird situation where both sides deny airspace to each other

They did have some degree of connection with France up until 2014 so maybe they might have gotten some from there. Also, sanction busting is a thing and the FSB probably has some way to get some components in a shady manner

It's mostly line of business software and yeah, it took me a year before I got to know the ins and outs of the system so you can absolutely imagine the clusterfuck it is when user acceptance and deployments start coming in

Oh it certainly isn't, but I have always been used to learning on the run and with proper support it wouldn't be such a hassle but I believe that the emphasis they made on unit testing doesn't really help either

Oh god this resonates so much with what I'm going through right now. I'm on a team that rotates members pretty much every 6 months and have been put in charge of writing unit tests for a series of repositories that I have never seen in my life. I must also add that I had 0 experience with unit testing beyond knowing what the concept is when asked to start testing. Now, I wouldn't be too bothered because it was a sort of learning experience but what was supposed to be a two week task at most has been dragging for a couple of months because they keep adding APIs and other backends which further complicates the issue and, of course the code isn't really unit testable so I have to modify code that I haven't seen before made by people who aren't on the team anymore just to make tests work

All of this to achieve a very arbitrary 80% coverage that's required by business on a few REST APIs that's not even ours!! And don't get me wrong I get the importance of testing but the enphasis on unit testing these days seems ridiculous

Although I am by no means trying to deny russian warcrimes on this conflict and the fact that it's a war of aggression. I'd like to take into account the fact that during pretty much every war and siege the amount of bodies on the street have been a cause for disease and as such, perhaps we should consider that these mobile crematoriums were brought to Mariupol with the objective to mitigate the spreading of diseases (and I'm not even saying they might be concerned for the welfare of the civilian population but they might be concerned for their own troops')

I wish you weren't joking, those things are neat

>my L39

please, tell me that there are pictures I can look. I love those little planes :D

I wonder if they have JDM meetups in there
