wegwerf17377382··on AI handles incidents, engineers lose touch with their systems
So how do you build competence in a world where AI is preached to be the most reasonable way to solve problems because it's supposed to be faster than humans?

I'm calling the return of personal websites with link lists.

Not everyone will run them but we will find them and bookmark them.

Not because it's better but because we'll have to.

Try looking for help about pets. The internet is a cesspool of slop, not even trying to hide it. The domain names sound absolutely convincing but it's all stuffed with takeaway lists and checplay generated imagery.

Whenever I find a good page, I will make sure I remember the site.

That attitude is exactly what got you into that mess.

There's no reason to believe the mess couldn't get any deeper, so backing out now doesn't have to be useless.

I've always been a thinkpad fan but their docks were clunky huge uncomfortable things for me.

I had a hp nc2400 that had a very nice little dock where you'd set the laptop on top of two guide poles an then slide the dock connector in from the side. A very compact design.

The thinkpad docks just always used so much space on my desk.
