webdoodle··on Social media platforms: what's wrong, and what's next
Social media platforms cost money. Until we solve that, without monetizing it and giving rich parasites an advantage, we'll continue to be pitted against each other to there benefit. Fediverse, mastadon, other open source systems are likely the way, but until everyone abandons the fake monetized social media, they'll continue to reign.
webdoodle··on U.S. Spy Agencies–One-Stop Shop to Buy Your Personal Data
Citizen's United broke the news media, by turning it into a pay per influence business, instead of journalism. Where are the Ida Tarbell's of our time? Most of them have been throttled, censored or completely suspended from most of the social media that they built up over the years, by the same rich parasitic influences that broke Citizen's United.

Want to do something about it? Come to the Billionaire's SummerCamp in Sun Valley, Idaho on July 6th, and complain to the rich parasites themselves.

Protest! Civil Disobedience! Justice!

Or just got back to watching YouTube and delude yourself into thinking it will fix itself.

One of my last posts on Reddit before my account was suspended and all my 15 years of posts, comments and private messages were deleted without my approval, was about memetic chaining. I've reposted it on Substack for those interested:

Yep. Big tech is the user, you are the product. The smartphone is just the interface.
webdoodle··on How to live an intellectually rich life
The America's have the 'noble savage' trope to find enlightenment with. It became so blatantly co-opting anothers' religion that many Native American tribes still refuse to teach non-tribal members there spiritual practices.
webdoodle··on Time to quit your pointless job, become morally ambitious and change the world
I worked IT for over 25 years, and thanks to anti-social media, I now hate most internet technology because of the shitty rich people who use it to abuse the rest of us. I now only work when I have too, and devote the rest of my time to sharing what I've learned about Operation Mockingbird 2.0 and how it's being used to subjugate us all.

If you really want to change the world, come protest with me at the Sun Valley Conference, AKA the Billionaires SummerCamp on July 6th. This event is where the parasitic rich coordinate the years propaganda, further consolidate there stranglehold on the industry, and train the new round of corporate newspapermen on what information needs to be throttled, distorted, derailed or deleted so that those same rich parasites can stay in power.

Military A.I. was likely in use earlier, and since PSYOPS are the most used and most effective weapon in the U.S. Military's arsenal, you absolutely know it was used. It ain't a war crime the first time...

Dolphin's were trained to bypass enemy underwater defenses to plant explosives on enemy ships while they were in there home port. They were also used to find mines and other underwater devices to be disarmed.

Most birds just aren't big enough to do real damage to barbed wire or razor wire defenses. Now if you could somehow train the birds to harass a herd of cattle into running down the fence, that might work. Sort of like the Hitchcock movie The Birds.

webdoodle··on AI tools are spotting errors in research papers: inside a growing movement
The push for AI is about controlling the narrative. By giving AI the editorial review process, it can control the direction of science, media and policy. Effectively controlling the course of human evolution.

On the other hand, I'm fully supportive of going through ALL of the rejected scientific papers to look for editorial bias, censorship, propaganda, etc.

webdoodle··on State of emergency declared after blackout plunges most of Chile into darkness
I'm sure the solar proton storm that hit right as Chile was sun facing had nothing to do with it. /s

https://spaceweather.com/archive.php?view=1&day=25&month=02&...

FYI - The 3rd worlds power grid, mostly near the equator isn't as resilient to solar storms as the U.S. and other nations in the Northern Hemisphere who've had to harden there grids against such things due to repeated solar incidents. Often because they have no redundancy when a line surges.

webdoodle··on Ask HN: Why would Stargate build data centers in a hot location like Texas?
Ellison has operations in Montana, and helped the current Governor in his early business career by buying a startup he was part of, as well as one of the Montana Senate seats. Montana is completely red republican now. There is abundant hydro electricity, and growing solar/wind market. Geothermal and Nuclear are coming. The real problem is latency, network connectivity. Prior to Covid, attracting talent to Montana was hard as well. Now everyone wants to live here.

Carter's main failure was in not prosecuting the FBI and CIA agents that conducted COINTELPRO and Operation Mockingbird. Though he fired 1/3 of the CIA's staff, not a single FBI or CIA employee was ever brought to justice, and we are still living with this legacy today. Anti-social media has been absconded by these same people, now instead of carpet bombing, we get targeted censorship, coercion and eventual cancel culture.
webdoodle··on How China turns members of its diaspora into spies
> What the US does can be criticised by its citizens, and protested. People can be punished. Wrongdoing can be exposed. Plenty of people in the US criticise the invasion of Iraq.

You won't be protesting in the U.S. without significant risks to your economic and social status. BTW - The Iraq war was several wars ago, and most of the people chatting here weren't even born for the first Iraq war.

2017 became the year the censors and suspensions of anti-social media started. Now with A.I. mods owned by an entitled parasitic elite, we get a highly censored world were your only recourse is offline, often in solitude.

If you care to test your theory, that you can criticise who you like in the U.S., I suggest you protest Israel, loudly and often.

webdoodle··on Escaping Google's manual reputation penalty and resuming business as usual
For the same reason Twitter, Facebook and other anti-social media companies fired there Trust and Safety teams. The parasitic elite can't trust hoomans to not turn on them and promote sites and ideas that they consider dangerous to there rule. This is the reason A.I. has risen in prominence, and is clearly biased when talking about the class war.

webdoodle··on RNA-targeting CRISPR reveals that noncoding RNAs are not 'junk'
We know so little about DNA and RNA still, and yet we allow medical companies to make mRNA 'vaccines' that supposedly will working exactly as they say. How can that be possible when we don't even fully understand the system on which it is built?

It's like trying to repair a sinking ship at sea without understanding how the planks and caulking displace water. Sure you might patch it temporarily, and might even keep it afloat, but what other problems are you creating that you literally don't know anything about...

Book burning has been a major issue many times by people trying to control history. The library of Alexandria, one of the oldest known book burnings, may have had some of the evidence your expecting. Then there are the cretins like folks trying to unroll the Dead Sea Scrolls. The modern day equivalent are the internet censors deleting our comments and posts on social media.

webdoodle··on PRC Targeting of Commercial Telecommunications Infrastructure
Yep. Pretty much the dystopian governments go-to playbook for surveillance. Find a private entity that is providing a communication service they can't spy on, then pressure them to put in a backdoor with threats of jail, etc.

Former CEO of Qwest Communications Joe Nachio claims he fought the NSA's initial requests for these backdoors, and was rewarded with being taken to court for insider trading. Remember no one at the top of these companies got there without breaking some rules along the way.

webdoodle··on The Wired Guide to Protecting Yourself from Government Surveillance
> To my knowledge, backdoors in various NSA encryption types have only been suggested and theorized about. However, we already have real world proof that hardware and software backdoors not only exist, but have been used.

Heart bleed: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heartbleed

> But on the other hand, unless you really piss off someone in the government, they are not likely going to be worried enough about you to use any of those tools.

The government is made up of people, who will do illegal things, if they think they can get away with it. As there is essentially no auditing of NSA surveillance feeds (let alone other countries surveillance), so those folks can spy on almost anyone without repercussions. This all precludes the fact that most of the surveillance is actually done by private, for profit, companies that have a vested interest in keeping the surveillance beast running.
