This is why we should raise taxes on Billionaires. A lot of them are willing to give away a lot of their money but, no matter how well intentioned they are, they are not as good at spending money for the public good as the government is.
Also would it be possible start broadcasting radio waves or maybe some kind of laser towards this planet incase there's something there that can respond to us a thousand years from now?
There's got to be a way they could leverage the data in Tumblr and Flickr and Alibaba to create richer search results than the few lines of text and low res pictures and weak shopping results that Google currently offers up.
To combat this, this document proposes a controversial change: making Bitcoin's monetary supply finite."
Haha April fools! ... I hope?
Until then slowing down for longer words at least would definitely help. This could at least be an option if the authors aren't convinced its a good idea yet, then A/B test the amount of usage for people who use the option compared with those that don't.
So your plan is to teach division by telling someone to 'divide'?
I think this is a pretty narrow minded view. If the economy needs a particular skill set to grow then the wages for that skill set need to rise with demand so that market actors (Students) can choose the correct profession and supply the economy with the skill set it needs so it can properly grow and create the products everyone wants.
If the largest employers in the tech industry manipulated the market to keep salaries artificially low, it hurts not only the employees directly involved but also other people employed in the same industry who use average salaries to make employment decisions, students who are trying to decide what career to pursue in school and the economy as a whole which is unable to get the required labor it needs.
We can't just be "nerds" that are easy targets to be scapegoated and picked on. If someone tries to blame you for the low supply of housing (instead of restrictive building codes) or for "changing the culture" of the city in a way that they don't like (who died and made them the arbiter of good taste). Call them out on it, its bullshit.
Technology has improved a lot of peoples lives and supplied this state a ton of money in tax revenue and for every one technology job 4-5 other jobs are created [1]. The companies in the bay area are the envy of the world, don't let peoples jealousy bring you down.

I'm not sure how returns would work in that situation though, I guess you have to return it through Zinc.
"Cash rules everything around me" - Wu-Tang Clan
In America money rules everything. Anyone with an Ivy League education and access to Billionaires obviously is not going to be intimidated by other status symbols.
It's only the people who need access who are intimidated by the gatekeepers.
I've had the unfortunate experience of building a product for someone else where the process was driven by a combination of Complain-Driven Development and Upper-Management Wish-lists. This alone might have been fine but at the same time anything positive like the real analytics about how successful the product was or any non-complaint communication coming from the users was hidden from me for fear, I suppose, that I might try to use that information get my company more money.
This became incredibly depressing. Everyday you show up to work putting in more and more hours into something that comes back with more and more complaints. It was hell and I did everything I could to end Complaint-Driven Development to no avail because thats how the customer liked to work. Eventually I finally just gave up and left to find something more rewarding and less soul crushing.
To use this feature choose a font and click on the little 'pop out' icon (that looks like one square on top of another) and then click "Pairings". Here's an example: https://www.google.com/fonts/specimen/Lobster#pairings
