CS master of Nantes is a really high level diploma comparing to some other universities , I will get mine from the same university this year (hopefully)
I totally agree , as an Algerian who is studying in France , I find that there is a general feeling of frustration and gloom,that is being powered by the media, and the political parties.
We are mostly comparing EUROPE to the US , Europe also has big technology poles (Grenoble ,Berlin, Paris ...) , the problem is that big tech giants in europe work independently of each other or work with US firms!, the UE must create one single technology pole where all the firms will be implemented! Paris can't handle more than what it handles now !

it has been 4 months since I applied this, joined a Karate club , writing my experience on an anonymous blog ,go meeting new people ,I start learning languages and I got many certificates,but at the end it still don't work for me , I'm in a great despair , I still feel empty inside ,I simply don't enjoy life anymore,since going out is not really working (I think its a waste of time) I spend all the days at home working(programming) or playing video games, my relations with people is still not very deep , I call some friends ones a week and we meet for 2 or 3 hours , still don't enjoy going out with them . by the way I'm not depressed , I was depressed in the past years , but the doctor says that I'm fine now , may be when he tries it , it would work for him who knows .
I recently start working in freelance , and I think that the payment doesn't worth it ,and the employers are not generally serious, you keep waiting for the payment , and they usually don't pay , now I deliver work like a demo , it only works for a few days , just so that I can be sure they pay .

JavaFX is no longer a script language ,it's now supported more than ever by oracl ,and you can now use it as an API, on the other hand Swing is no longer supported
first you need to learn the Object Oriented Paradigm .and how you can write Classes and objects in java.
then try to learn how you can develop desktop application you have two main frameworks for the GUI (JavaFX and Swing) I recommend JavaFX because oracle doesn't support anymore Swing.
Then comes the best part, the Java Entreprise Edition (JEE ) ,its here where the fun begins ,JEE is for web application s, first you need to learn JSP and Servlet, and then take a look at the web frameworks that exists like (Play, Spring, Struts ,JSF ...)
I always compare those who program in PHP to those young teen who are rushing to Justin Bieber Concerts ,and to the cinema just to watch Twillight ,and they are so exited ,but they ignore that there is a hole world out there ,where music is not judged by appearances,and movies are not judged by makeup and love scenes,and where there is some powerful programming languages that let you enjoy building a scalable ,powerful projets in some hours.
