This is absolutely mind-blowing to me, is this using an API of any sort? I'd love to be able to take something like my City's archive of Black & White images and colorize them.

I think we've conflated hard work with results. Hard work is a symptom that we're doing something incorrectly. Either it's too challenging for us, or we're doing it the wrong way.

There seems to be too much value on hard work, and not enough on efficient progress, breaking things down into challenges that we're capable of achieving.

Hard work is never accomplished, it's only once we break them down into achievable tasks that we're ever able to tackle something initially deemed as hard.

This seems convenient, but now I worry scammers will use this as another way of getting people to run arbitrary JavaScript on the client's device. 'Instructions' on how to do {x}, but it's also siphoning cookies off to an undisclosed backend.

Someone could have said the same around media players, there's Windows Media Player, Quicktime etc. Thankfully VLC didn't listen, and we have a marvel today to thank for it.

I listened to the playlist too and it's definitely the same song with small variations. Imagine finding dozens of threads where comments are all the same, but with very slight changes of words used in each comment.

Just discovered Plant UML recently, and I've quickly come to love it. Just today I pasted a JSON payload & watched as it generated a diagram from the example. I do find the default theme not terribly attactive, but that can be can be mitigated with a single import, this site has a great collection: https://bschwarz.github.io/puml-themes/

I think it'd be neat to take an old text only terminal game, and just auto generate the pictures based off responses.

I understand how being scolded for doing the right thing would have felt, but I'd encourage you to find ways to influence the culture of allowing these types of development, instead of swapping to become an ally of those who scolded you in the first place.

My biggest issue with modals, is that they never seem to be tested with mobile devices in mind. So when I'm on my phone, the ability to close it is often off the screen. The only choice is to leave the website at that point.
