Amazing! It’s so bloody hard to access this information or even to know what there is.

Careful not to expose the councils too publicly before they shut you off

Looks quite nice, alternatives to Tauri always welcome although that Tauri is truly fantastic, so much to emulate.

I use Apple Maps all the time if I can, it's just better at being a navigator, but the search UX sucks giant salty balls

Except the Swiss are total arseholes about it, they won't even grant citizenship to people born there or who've lived there for twenty years and speak the language. Many want to cap total population at 10 million, we'll see what happens in June.

And twelve years ago, the Swiss voted to restrict EU FoM for itself and the backlash was instant.

Can't blame the government, this is the Swiss voting public doing their best to be dickheads.

Japan is a bunch of islands, yes it's pretty closed, but Switzerland is a land-locked village with fewer people than London and entirely dependent on trade and the movement of people and money for all they have, and barely a scrap of a language to call its own. English is super common there, probably as a way of democratically inconveniencing everyone.

My German ISP supports it now, which was the limiting factor for me, and a new VPS I just bought also does, so finally I was able to create my first personal AAAA record. I am hoping that we're seeing a tipping point. Again.

Isn't the generous Codex plan ending? Possibly yesterday?

> As the Codex promotion on Plus winds down today

Genuine Stupidity

I mean, the moment the American Supreme Court gave the president immunity for acts in office, they basically gave him the ability to issue a price list for doing absolutely anything.

Yeah, I had thin insulation strips running around these edges because my wrists were legit getting sore from these edges. And then Apple replaced the bottom case so they're back, as sharp as ever.

This is exactly the point you're making

Public interest argument is strong here

When the stakes are high, non-compliance with the rules or the law might be worth the risk, see professional athletes and drug cheats, right?

Karma and integrity seem to be treated as an overdraft. But these folks are hardly held back by the systems they work in.

"Bless their little hearts"

Hosting the meeting in Croydon and not letting people leave until the thing is signed-off is definitely a cunning strategy. Never want to work down there again, ever.

Yes it is, I had my M! Max keyboard replaced as repairing the individual keycaps didn't work, and then they replaced the entire logic board while they were testing due to finding an error. Total cost was around €1400, to me €0. New bottom case, new battery, new logic board.

Looks like this is going to find a place full-time on my mac and replace Rectangle, only problem being I don't have more menu bar icon space.

Agreed - I was just picking mine up from a repair at the Apple Store - they replaced the top case as the keyboard was borked, found a logic issue and replaced the board. It's as good as new, and its already lasted longer than any Mac I've ever owned. I want for nothing, although I wouldn't mind double the RAM and SSD. It's the perfect laptop.

Is that an em-dash in his rant?

Fascist

Love me a straight-six.

Why anyone thought "inline" was a better prefix, I have no idea.

Smooth, and sound great.

I liked it, one idea to a sentence is one of the best pieces of writing advice one can follow. The article reads like a script, it's not bad at all.

What bit of "intimate images shared without a victim's consent" is lacking context in the article?

There's still bargains to be found, I (honestly) picked up a mint RH1 from Ebay for £180 last year.

I'm on the MD Discord and been following all of this, a bunch of us updated before the official launch and found a few bugs in the process, but the firmware itself is fabulous.

Asivery screen replacement is great. Need some soldering skills but it's wonderful.

That's cool, but when a friend died last summer, Immich allowed me to find all the digital photos I had of him, even out of focus in the background. I get many requests from friends for old pictures, "do you remember that night when we all did a group photo, etc etc?" and the search facility in Immich allowed me to in a minute what sometimes took years to find, when scouring folders in spare time.

What goes up quickly comes down quickly?

At least we can afford nice things again

We generally encourage people to buy a NetMD device as their first player, so they can simply drag-and-drop music onto disks via USB. Probably any working machine, except an Sony N1 or Sony N10.
