Maybe it would have been more widely received, if the country in general had been prepared more for digital transactions. When electricity supply is often unstable (especially during and after natural disasters as the one that struck the south east coast last year), it did not make sense to roll out this measure when it was rolled out.

What would this mean for planned obsolescence policies of phone manufacturers? If users don't keep buying new ones because the old ones never break?

These are usually people that have always been the best in their class through their academic careers. The idea that they might be the ones to not get a position, because they are not good enough for it may not be something they have experienced /consider possible for themselves.

To add further: The difference between sexism and sexual harassment is that sexual harassment has nothing to do with the sex of the person doing the harassing or the person being harassed. As much social stigma there is for women to come out and talk about harassment, with toxic masculinity that most men suffer because of, it seems like an equally large if not larger problem. With women it is "she was asking for it" and with men it is "what a pussy" or something to that effect.

Why do we need to describe who and what the victim is when discussing sexual harassment? The whole part of the narrative where we describe the gender, appearance, fashion choices, how many hours of yoga you have done? Why are we focussing on that aspect at all?

Interesting. What numbers are you looking at, that give you the impression that they don't stack up? I ask to understand whether you are talking about recycling being a complete failure, or it being hyped up to be more than it is.

What do you mean by over communication? Do you mean that essential communication is repeated without additional effect? Or that unnecessary details are relayed?

To your point about using Linux, unfortunately working with specific tools that only run on Windows, I don't have that option. Windows is forced on me and I don't think that is by accident. Again this leads me to seriously question that they indeed could have turned "good" as the parent comment asks.

I just spent a few minutes this morning trying to figure out how to turn off Cortana on my windows 10 virtual machine. I don't want to have to spend 45 minutes of my morning trying to figure out the ins and outs of elevated power shell to just turn one freaking app off on an operating system that I bought and therefore should have control over. In my view, this is very obviously tailored to deter most people from removing apps. I would say, this is not my idea of "good".

I have workrave installed on my computer. It reminds me to rest my eyes, take long and short breaks throughout the day. I installed this on my computer after a few days of being terribly tired at the end of the day. Now I feel better and fresher even during the day at work.
