Cut and paste is fantastic - and that's from someone who's used both Android and iPhone extensively in the past. In fact keyboard and multi-tasking are two of the reasons I bought a (touch screen) blackberry...

The gulf between perceived and actual mobile phone usage is huge even now. People are willing to do a lot more on their phones than we expect.

This is my 3rd Macbook (best in terms of hardware, bar the display issue and worst in terms of software - too many glitches) and I'm really looking for an alternative when I next replace it.

And as seen here (http://www.worldstandards.eu/electricity/plugs-and-sockets/j...) the socket is indented into the wall so less of the cable protrudes beyond the flat surface of the wall.

We should all just get over our prejudices and download BBM which is the closest app to a Skype killer that I've used. Don't knock it until you've tried it.

This is the first bendgate video I've seen and am not surprised that when you bend something that is a long and thin piece of metal it deforms and doesn't return to it's original shape. Like a spoon.

What I'm more surprised at is the way Apple dealt with it (if phone call claim is true), for a company that is usually great with PR.

One of Dinnr's selling points was same day or next day delivery. I think that sort of just-in-time direct from farmer delivery model would have required longer lead times between receiving and fulfilling orders.

This is more evolutionary than revolutionary as far as microfinance is considered (for reasons below), and that's a good thing because there is no need to reinvent the wheel.

1) Repayment rates over 90% are not uncommon among existing microfinance lenders. Grameen Bank's rate is 97.6% - http://www.grameen-info.org/index.php?option=com_content&tas...)

2) Unlike mortgage providers who have a wealth of credit information for applicants, microfinance initiatives do not have this. Traditionally this has been solved by lending to groups and if any one person in the group defaults, the entire group is barred from future payments. This enables the MF lender to harness information held about individuals to screen non-creditworthy individuals.

It's a clever mechanism and I'd like to know more about how Zidisha uses facebook data to similar effect.

It doesn't say where he is going to go. It seems to be a plea for support rather than a bone fide plan. Can't imagine being constrained to the same place for 2 years, horrible stuff.

I don't understand what (or rather how) it does from reading this: "Knock is a message which acts like a call. When you knock a friend, your friend receives a call, and can see the text written on the screen. You get a response within 60 seconds."

- Do they get a proper phone call or an alert via the app? - If proper phone how/where does it display stuff on the screen? - What guarantees that I get a response within 60 seconds?

I would consider using images for each of the steps above rather than text.

Update: just seen the animation below which makes a few points above clearer. This should be above the explainer text paragraph (which could still do with sharpening) rather than below imo.

The main disadvantage is not being able to type with one hand. That said, if the physical keyboard is touch sensitive and Blackberry have managed to incorporate flick to type, this could become very interesting.

As much as I rely on LinkedIn they have a HORRIBLE approach to user privacy. Hope they get hit hard and learn a lesson.
