Thanks for the link, that was an interesting read.

>at the very least it would have been nice to see it use iPXE's `imgtrust` and `imgverify` functionality

I'm not familiar with these but I saw a commit from just a couple of hours ago referencing "image trust" [1], so maybe it's in the works now following your comment?

vive-la-liberte··on Type safe OpenGL – Converting strings into types in D
>there used to be C++ and Java code generators that have since been removed.

What was the reason for removal? Difficulty of maintenance? Out of scope for a C# project?

vive-la-liberte··on Raspberry Pi Bare Metal Programming with Rust
The first release of D was in 2001. That's 15, not 5, years ago.
vive-la-liberte··on OweFS – One-way encrypted file system
Does anyone know a similar but BSD-like instead of GPLv3 licensed fs?
vive-la-liberte··on The Akrasia Effect: Why We Don’t Follow Through on What We Set Out to Do
I unintentionally began reading the quote in Arnolds voice, noticed what I was doing and attempted to keep doing it but found it too tiring imitating his voice to be able to finish reading the quote. Serious question, is there an audio book version of this book read by Arnold himself? That'd be neat.
vive-la-liberte··on Superpowers, a collaborative HTML5 2D and 3D game maker, is now open-source
If you haven't already, post about this on /r/gamedev as well.
vive-la-liberte··on Welcome to the CHIP Operating System
>CHIP can also be battery powered. Specifically, any single cell (1S) 3.7V Lithium Polymer (LiPo) battery with a 2-pin JST-PH 2.0mm end can be connected to the JST-PH socket.

I like that they've given the CHIP the option of battery power.

Have you any code shared on GitHub so I may see some real life Nim?

Thank you. Very succinct explanation. I like that.

Thanks :)

Slide 27/36, aka. slide 18/23, shows a type of graph which I have also seen in the Google Chrome Dev Tools as well as a couple of other places. Someone told me once the name of that kind graph but I've forgotten what it was. I've never learned how to read that kind of graph. So, if someone would be so kind, please tell me what it's called and how to read it.

Have any security researchers investigated the possibility of abusing these coexistence mechanisms for malicious purposes? Could be worth checking out, I think.

I see. Thank you for having open sourced so much of it already and good luck with the project :)
vive-la-liberte··on Introducing Guesstimate, a Spreadsheet for Things That Aren’t Certain
Thanks for the prompt reply. Are you planning to open source all of it in the future or will it remain SaaS?

vive-la-liberte··on Springer Textbooks More Than 10 Years Old Available for Free Legal Download
Maybe if we wait another 10 years we'll get access to some more books. It's a shame that I didn't get a chance to download any of the books but then again I already have a backlog of other books to read so it's no great tragedy to me.

I had never heard of quaternions so I Googled the book title you suggested. In addition to the Amazon link [1], I also found a question on the gamedev SE where they talk about building a mental model of quaternions [2], which I found informative.

How long will they remain accessible for download? Hopefully indefinitely. I'm on vacation. Crossing my fingers I'll be able to download them when I get home.
vive-la-liberte··on What Alzheimer’s Feels Like from the Inside
Title is probably a reference to http://lesswrong.com/lw/no/how_an_algorithm_feels_from_insid... (unless it in turn is a play on another title).
