It's my site, yes. It's on a VPS which usually has far more resources than required. I really wasn't expecting to get everyone's attention.
So many people were clicking on the link from here that it inadvertently DDOS-ed my server. I had to turn on the "under attack" feature in Cloudflare just to get the other sites running again.
I did that with the convention site, yes. It still wasn't getting indexed.
The convention site in question had a GA tag, and it was in search console, and I had submitted a sitemap. Search Console knee the site had 9 pages in the sitemap, and had only indexed the homepage.
The other pages weren't rejected, declined or 404ed - they were simply ignored.
It's the artist's own fault that he didn't make a backup.
And I wouldn't take the claim seriously that Google Reader was fast with that many feeds; I found that GR struggled with that feeds: http://the-digital-reader.com/2012/11/01/i-broke-google-read...

Hidden in the back of the E-ink booth at CES 2015 was a USB monitor which added a 13.3" E-ink screen to almost any device. And as you can see in the video, it's pretty fast.
Feedly and other news reader services have de facto permission to gather blog posts at the request of users and then show them to those users. This is a half step beyond that, so you can't really call it copyright infringement.
