I ask you to reread my comment, in the context of this thread, and your question, and see if it eventually makes sense to you.

Is this really any better? Do you think there is a qualitative difference between a 'vaccine' ID, which I can assure you will have information encoded that can be used as a personal identity marker, and what the original commenter was proposing?

Is it really any better that this is happening in the "developing world"? You even make the case that it's identical to the practices we uphold to track animals.

Furthermore, appeal to authority is not proof or evidence of anything but the opinion of authority. Try to avoid doing that if you want to engage ideas in good faith.

Are you actually willing to learn, to at least consider whether a statement is true based on the merit of the facts presented, or will you categorically deny any source that isn't directly connected to legacy media?

If the latter, look into the 'right wing conspiracy theories' and discard what you see as weak evidence and disinformation. Build a case from the point of view opposite of your own, then compare this to the point of view you hold now. Ask yourself which one is more convincing, and why.

You're neglecting the market effects of networks that make these 'private' businesses de facto monopolies when you make your comparison to private ownership.

We have so little precedent with these society shaping forms of communication and content, it would seem very strange to me if we had already arrived at an optimum when it comes to how we should treat them. I don't necessarily have an answer to said predicament, but I definitely think 'do nothing and let unelected business decide how the conversation should end' is not a good answer.
