Not so sure about the tax rates. Are you sure that 22% is all you pay? I'd be very surprised if this is with the Greek tax system.

Also I like that some of these products have a free version that makes it accessible to people coming from a poor economic background. Everyone deserves an equal opportunity in my opinion.
Now my problem about big tech corps is that they are huge bullies. I want my freedom back. Freedom of not being locked in an ecosystem. Freedom to choose my tools. Freedom of not being tracked. Freedom of everyone to be in the market without being copied, acquired or overshadowed by huge companies that buy/clone/replace any product or tool with their "free of charge" poison. Freedom to stay away of "growth and engagement" bs products.
Think of the following. How viable is to live without GMAIL nowdays? Do we want vscode to become the GMAIL of code?
Not to mention how bad this is for the environment. And no, a ping-pong or foosball table doesn't make the office cool. It's like adding chocolate syrup on a rotten fruit to make it edible.
All software giants hold too much power in their hands and nobody can touch them. What can you do? They have at least 50% of the market.
I totally trust science but not companies and governments that are in a mission to save "The Economy" and their fat-arsed pockets.
I'm not saying that a company shouldn't care about making profits. But let's not forget some pharma companies' scandals from the past. Would you rush to consume some magical piping hot medicine/vaccine someone made? Is it ready yet? Is it tested enough? Is it safe for everyone?

People set rules but we should always see the reasoning behind the rules instead of just following them blindly.
Personally every time I refactor some piece of code, I think "Does this make code easier to read and understand? Will this save me and my colleagues time in the future?".
Now seriously. Sew them. Hunt them down legally and shame them online for the rest of their life.
