+69,000% in that case. Like with his S3XY cars. Oh well.

ulfw··on macOS Golden Gate Is a Buggy Mess
Everything Apple is a disaster nowadays. Everything.

Golden Gate macOS Finder puts me 2/3 the way down in a long list of files each time I go to a folder. Not all the way the bottom where new files are. So I have to scroll 20 times over now in each freaking multi-thousand file folder. Yay thanks. Never been an issue in 20 years of Mac.

Updated to iOS 27.0.1 on iPhone. Crashes almost every app. Yay.

Bought Beats 360. Battery drains even when turned off. 32 hrs alleged battery life. Headphones last barely one day (with 2hrs of actual usage) thanks to excessive battery drain.

400$ iPad keyboard started peeling off after a year. Apple told me to buy a new one. I told them to go f themselves. A new tablet costs as much as this keyboard.

etc etc etc

It's a company that has hugely declined but remained unnoticed due to sales lagging product state by years. This will eventually come to haunt them.

Sounds like AI ROI is overpromised and underdelivering
ulfw··on AI companies in race to demonstrate their model most threatening to humanity
Which CEO said this for 'literally decades'? And if so why are they still pursuing it then?

Most children have learned touching a hot stove is bad for them. Then why still do it at the age of 40?

All this overhyped crap will explode and most of us will be poor but hey whatever. Some billionaires will be better off. That should make us all content

They tried to fire the CEO (for good reason) and failed. Doubt they'd dare to try again.

I partially agree. Nazis are dumb! But sadly not all are old. The powerful ones like Musk and Thiel, Murdoch and Ellison are yes.

But a lot of young people on the Zuckerberg networks are falling for the nazi propaganda nowadays too around the world

ulfw··on Xcode 27.1 Beta Release Notes
None seem to be working at Meta.

How many years has it been for them to release an upscaled (zero extra features!) version of instagram and whatsapp for iPad?

Two of the most used apps in the world

The AI bubble bullshit PR is even dumber than the crypto bra bullshit from five, six years ago

If he is off by an order of magnitude and it's 0.1% still no developer (unless a fanboy) should bother

ulfw··on Australia says it could follow Canada in forging deeper ties with EU
You're native American or why do you say something like this?
ulfw··on Australia says it could follow Canada in forging deeper ties with EU
What a weird thing that we ever felt this way as our way of living has nothing in coming with Americans (except for big trucks driving through empty lands).

Our labour laws, minimum wage, holidays, our Medicare system etc etc is a lot more socialist European than megacorporist American

ulfw··on iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27
My Finder now opens every folder scrolled to about 2/3 of the way down instead of all the way on the bottom or top. I end up scrollign 20-30 pages long each time I want to do anything. Yay macOS27!

Meanwhile haven't found an actual new feature yet

ulfw··on I spent $220 on Google app ads and 60% of the installs were robots
Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of actual end customers/humans (i.e. not bot farms or paid for actors) who click are not clicking on purpose. I've seen so many bad Android apps that have performance issues where content is still rendering and by the time you've tapped on where you go an add banner/link loaded up and registered you clicking on that. Zero purchase ever done but numerous 'ad clicks' generated
ulfw··on iPhone Duo
I get that but the sheer ridiculousness of a total non-feature (moving the torch/flashlight icon from the left to the right, which takes 2 seconds to "develop") selling as some kind of accomplishment is bad enough. Telling me this will allow me to "celebrate my picture" was so stupid I couldn't even bother listening to the rest of the sales pitch

Don't charge me 2000-3800$ and insult my intelligence with stuff like this

ulfw··on iPhone Duo
Huge outside the US where people live in small places and use public transport rather than living in mansions with big TVs and be in a car (no phone use) all day.
ulfw··on iPhone Duo
Then they'd be seriously dumb people to buy an otherwise inferior (too thick, too heavy, bad cameras, small screen) device for $2000 to just use that outer screen alone
