An advantage of a standalone unit is you can take it with you, or for people who don't already have a gaming computer.
You're also asking why not have it plug to a more powerful machine. The answer for that is simple: wires get snagged and pulled on, in practice it's a poor experience (remember, you cannot see the wires when you are wearing the headset).
This lets you throw away and start over, but also gives you infinite undo even after "loading" an older version.
I wasn't able to use the "move" tool to move a semi-transparent layer, it kept on switching my selection to the layer below it and moving that. That violated my expectation.
The solution was to use a modifier key, but it took me a while to find it.
So it doesn't have a battery bank, but you're expected to plug it into one.
But then it explains the real difference. Still worth a read, don't give up at that second paragraph!
SpaceX the stock is only in a very small part about rockets and space. In their filing they talk about their total addressable market being $28.5 trillion, of which $26.5 trillion are AI.
That means that they believe the SpaceX stock is 93% about AI.
It's open to argument whether xAI or BTC is crazier - I just wanted to say that when talking about SpaceX stock, it's not really about rockets.
I say this based on their filing which says that the vast majority of predicted profits will come from their AI company, citing a $36.5T total addressable market.
Most projects today are solar+battery or just battery alone, so inertia is no longer a blocker, it's just part of designing the project right.
Here is a "Practical Engineering" video on the topic, mentioning that your concern is real: https://youtu.be/7G4ipM2qjfw?si=qfVymRpKFpuexQF_
And here is a more recent video about how Australia runs on a ton of solar with no issues thanks to grid-forming inverters: https://youtu.be/qavFbOpt4jA?si=dlkEEN4sZLCv2os5
Saying "they can deport you" without specifying whether the hypothetical "you" is a citizen or not means you did not answer the question.
Not that you have to answer a stranger's question, but I thought I would clear the confusion in the hope it may be helpful.
