tubs··on Trains on another level
Factory Town has allowed multiple layer train setups for a while so I’d say it’s prior art by this point.

Apple uses the same memory packaging every mobile soc uses (and has used some flip chip and pop arrived). There is nothing super special about the ram or how it’s wired. This myth has to cease.

The only thing you can say about the larger chips is they have much wider channels, but they are still just regular DDRs.

tubs··on C++ Papercuts
Java and c# are both pass by value (c# has optional ref that must be annotated at both the call site and definition, it also has value structures).

Class types are effectively pointers that are passed by the value of the pointer.

You cannot implement swap in Java without eg wrapping the params in one element arrays.

On mobile safari the little Control Strip at the bottom doesn’t appear after the first couple of refreshes. I can see it try to slide up then it dies.

That’s pretty much what a command buffer is in any of the modern gpu apis.

Recording it is still command driven but trying to give an entire app scene in one go is really messy. We tried this internally on our gpu before Vulkan.

Two reasons.

There were some alleged cultist/idolatry practices involving wine that would cause it to become non kosher so it’s easier to just blanket ban anything handled by a goy. I think boiling makes it unusable for those same rituals.

It’s also to discourage fraternising (especially romantically) with goyim.

The ram is regular package on package stuff, it's not the reason for the high bandwidth.

The bandwidth is due to apple giving more area and pins to more channels.

tubs··on Announcing WCGI: WebAssembly and CGI
You can't run c in wasm.

You can compile c to wasm and run that.

In the same way one could compile c to java byte code, write a wrapper program to allocate the "heap", disable the gc and execute it in close to the same way it executes in a wasm runtime.

tubs··on C++17 creates a practical use of the backward array index operator
Problem with contains is we are now going to see more code like

    if (map.contains(foo)) {
       bob(map[foo]);
    }
over the (vastly uglier) more efficient:

   if (auto it = map.find(foo); it != map.end()) {
       bob(*it);
   }
Of course languages like C# manage this in a more elegant way with out parameters declarable at the call site.

Right. So it's up to you to educate your developers to not copy code from sources that have licenses incompatible with your project. Much the same as educating the same developers that "YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR TAKING SUGGESTIONS" from copilot. I do not see any difference here.

It's an extremely personal attack to claim software licencing is a joke to me. You have zero context on the work I do professionally and as open source. I'd appreciate it if you could limit your arguments to not include personal insults.
