trolley··on Medical Care in the U.S is Bad, But Insurance Sucks Too
This comment made me wonder if such a thing (crowdsourced medical pricing) existed: turns out it does [1, 2, 3]. I would absolutely love to see resources like these take off, until using them is as common place as checking GasBuddy before filling your gas tank.

trolley··on $10,000 Raised for PyLadies at PyCon 2013
> The question is whether or not PyLadies allows men to join as full members.

What exactly are you looking for? PyLadies is not a dues-paying organization. There's no screening process or special clubhouse. Local PyLadies groups organize events (like hackathons, workshops, or happy hours) and people show up. Nobody stands at the door and checks your secret decoder ring to see if you're allowed in or not.

This line from pyladies.org has already been mentioned above:

> Anyone with an interest in Python is encouraged to participate!

Nevertheless, it's still a fact that if you let people know "hey, there's going to be a hacknight this week, and most if not all of the attendees will be women" -- then many women would admit to feeling more comfortable in that sort of environment, and might subsequently be more likely to show up than they would otherwise.

trolley··on "Getting started with Ember.Js is easy." - No it isn't
This is the response that should have been made on OP's original thread in the first place (and I do see you've xposted it there now).
trolley··on "Getting started with Ember.Js is easy." - No it isn't
> Well, programming is not always easy.

Nobody is saying that it is. OP's title was directly in response to the ember.js homepage (where it says "GETTING STARTED WITH EMBER.JS IS EASY."). S/he encountered some (pretty understandable) frustration and pointed out a few major shortfalls in ember's documentation, before asking for assistance; that's not at all running away from "the process".

Waving away legitimate (non-trolling) complaints in a dismissive way is pretty condescending, and not at all helpful to the main issue.

Trek doesn't like this guy's tone, therefore he "can't" respond?
trolley··on McMenu: Do-It-Yourself McDonald's Restaurant Recipes
Please don't perpetuate the myth of the MSG placebo effect here. It's a cultural meme with no basis in science [1, 2]; glutamate is widespread [3], yet nobody complains of "green tea headaches".
