So is completely eliminating litter, but I still pick it up when I pass it.
trip-zip··on Preparing for KDE Plasma's Last X11-Supported Release
> not sure if supporting them is even a goal

Technically, it is a goal, though perhaps an optimistic one.

I won't support vicious widgets in the 2.x releases, but I should definitely add support for it in the release/1.4 branch that follows AwesomeWM master/4.4. Not that I think vicious widgets are the best, but technically if it runs on AwesomeWM, I should support it in 1.4.

I created an issue (https://github.com/trip-zip/somewm/issues/599), even if you decide not to use SomeWM. Thanks for trying it out.

I was about to say the same.

I set up a new one for my son on Christmas Eve and I almost gave up completely.

Plug still gets the job done imo. But I'm also hopeful that since this one is builtin to the language it'll likely be end-game worthy for lots of users. I have tried it out and had a painless experience though I never did anything fancy like lazy offered.
trip-zip··on All managers make mistakes; good managers acknowledge and repair
Same with pilots.

Checklists are the only reason I ever feel safe to takeoff

Emacs users have all the fun. And just like eve online or dwarf fortress, I can't seem to get fully into them myself, but I love reading stories about it.
trip-zip··on Vibe code is legacy code
> guaranteeing behavior to the client requirements

> built by humans, with elegant abstractions

Frankly, I look at both of these options and think I haven't seen either in the wild...

Would you mind giving a little more info on what you're getting Jules to work on? I tried it out a couple times but I think I was asking for too large a task and it ended up being pretty bad, all things considered.

I tried to get it to add some new REST endpoints that follow the same pattern as the other 100 we have, 5 CRUD endpoints. It failed pretty badly, which may just be an indictment on our codebase...

Although my conclusion is the same as yours, that flying has never been safer, it has felt like longer than 2 months that the state of aviation safety has been under scrutiny. I feel like the Boeing situation recently has caused a lot of people to really assume the worst of the industry.

Again, I'm in aviation. I believe the data indicates it's safe as it's ever been. But I don't blame people for being concerned

trip-zip··on What's New in Neovim 0.10
What's the use case for a separate GUI for neovim? I remember using macvim for a few days maybe 8 years ago, but I never "got it". It felt like the benefits of having my editor in my terminal were thrown out for little return.

This is my first time hearing about Muphry's Law and I love it

I did the exact same thing.

Sad day

Is your statement not a false dichotomy?

I like 1 particular brand of backpack with a slightly prominent logo on it.

I do not believe there is an equivalent quality made by a brand without the logo I buy.

trip-zip··on Emacs Bedrock: A minimal Emacs starter kit
Haha. That's been my status for about 4 years. I switched to doom emacs and I keep saying, "as soon as things slow down, I'll build this from scratch..."
trip-zip··on Ubuntu stops shipping Flatpak by default
That was the event that got me to stop using "Basically" arch (Endeavour, arco, etc) and just use arch itself.
trip-zip··on Kite is saying farewell and open-sourcing its code
I honestly thought I'd never use copilot, but when I need to write something to interface with XML via a SOAP API, boy copilot is my best friend...
trip-zip··on Apple Rankings
Point #4 is totally on point!

I slice lots of apples to share with my kid and there is such an unexpected difference depending on the variety we buy. Some apples really benefit from being cut into wedges!
