Someone engineering an airborne bacteria that lives off plastics would probably collapse the world economy and kill half the population.
Console gaming: cheaper, plug it in your tv and you're done, sit on your couch, use a controller.
I use a PC for a lot of things but gaming will never be one of them. The console looks great as it is.
Thats the difference.
I also dont really understand the full appeal as mono-cropping has devastated forests and animal species. And those harvesting machines kill many animals in the fields.

"...men continued to make up most of the high-school teaching force until the late 1970s"
Humans are still largely primal and male presence tends to instill respect and behavior changes in younger people; I suspect the absence of it has not helped the current situation in many schools.
The government (small group of people with outside interests) is constantly wrong and biased on many topics, I would never want them to have a monopoly on free speech or decide what is truth.
You list small examples of when free speech goes bad but I can assure you not having it goes bad in a bigger way for many more people.
The way you combat these people (and I didnt look deep into this persons views) is to call them out and provide truthful information. And then people have to decide for themselves. You will always have a fraction of people who are fools (on any topic) but most people will side with rationality.
Not to downplay this issue (its important). But I sort of dont believe the estimates. Theres 4.6 million fishing vessles globally. That would be 22 tonnes per vessel or 46,000 pounds. I dont see 1 vessel producing 46k pounds of plastic waste per year unless they are literally dumping their fishing nets into the ocean purposefully and repeatedly.
