trick-or-treat··on The National Parks Were Reportedly Told to Stay Silent on Deaths
And yet... they're no longer testing and it doesn't seem to be a problem anymore, lol.
trick-or-treat··on The unbearable cheapness of open weight models
Ok so you're ignoring the entire thing. Sigh.
trick-or-treat··on The unbearable cheapness of open weight models
Maybe you missed the part where starlink / orbiting datacenters don't really have to even make money as long as they partially fund rocket launch tests.

Or maybe you don't take Elon seriously when he talks about Mars.

trick-or-treat··on We're making Bunny DNS free: because a faster internet won't build itself
Move up a tier or move somewhere where it costs even more. That seems kinda reasonable, really.
trick-or-treat··on A man was gifted his dream car by Kevin Mitnick, who he helped put in prison
Maybe just don't drag homophobia into unrelated threads?
trick-or-treat··on In memory of the man who put red and green squiggles under words
It went all of those ways, you're just finding yourself in the universe where it went squiggles.
trick-or-treat··on VibeThinker: 3B param model that beats Opus 4.5 on reasoning with novel SFT+GRPO
How do we know the solution isn't in the weights though?
trick-or-treat··on Renting a sewing machine from the library
Sounds like you've got it figured out.
trick-or-treat··on Developers don't understand CORS (2019)
Hotlinking/leeching applies to img or media assets, CORS offers NO protection from that AT ALL.
trick-or-treat··on Renting a sewing machine from the library
Then just shrug and keep walking like 99% of the rest of humans
trick-or-treat··on Developers don't understand CORS (2019)
cors is not about protecting your assets, you dummy. It's about protecting the rest of us FROM your assets.
trick-or-treat··on GLM 5.2 vs. Opus
I could be wrong but I believe this is a non-vision model. Please weigh in to correct me bc I would love to be wrong
trick-or-treat··on GLM 5.2 vs. Opus
Latency? Just saying there's other things to consider.
trick-or-treat··on Developers don't understand CORS (2019)
I think that once you understand that CORS is about protecting the visitor not the server you're halfway there.

Also, if you have everything set up properly, the fact that you're haveing any CORS issues at all means you're probably trying to do something stupid and you need to ask someone smarter how to solve your problem.

trick-or-treat··on Developers don't understand CORS (2019)
, claude fixes it by doing insecure shit, your secrets end up exposed, you end up running a $10,000 api bill, you wonder how you got there.
trick-or-treat··on Developers don't understand CORS (2019)
I think you're confused. The only thing blocked would be client side fetch. You need to find another way to protect everything else.
trick-or-treat··on Renting a sewing machine from the library
Just say that then. Or give them a dollar.
trick-or-treat··on Leaked OpenAI financials show $38.5B loss and compute burn
You say that like it's a bad thing but it's a show of respect. Why shouldn't Trump receive a tribute like any other local warlord?
trick-or-treat··on Consciousness likely not unique to earthlings, paper says
Solaris asks way more questions than it answers. How does a planet evolve a sentient ocean? Did the ocean arrive from elsewhere to a dry planet? On what substrate would sentient oceand form and how would they reproduce?
trick-or-treat··on Shepherd's Dog: A Game by Fable
So I guess it was a dig on OP not just giving himself equal, but top billing somehow, over his girlfriend on creating a child.

Wow those 6 seconds you contributed were what made the difference, big guy. Not the 9 months of gestation, by any means. let's hear it for OP and his splooge everyone, and so on. You get the picture.

I'm not sure what's going on exactly with Gen Z males, it's an interesting phenomenon. I wouldn't expect that kind of dialog from GenX or Boomers even.

> it took me and my girlfriend over 9 months to birth one!

By my math you should should have at least 2 in that time, unless one of you wasn't pulling their weight.

trick-or-treat··on A jacket that harvests drinking water from the air
When you kill a man do you get to take his water?
trick-or-treat··on A jacket that harvests drinking water from the air
You don't know how many side projects they have. I had a recipe website at one time along with 50 other things.
trick-or-treat··on Who's the smartest corvid?
Mother Nature isn't in charge of gravity. That's Papa Physics' job.
trick-or-treat··on Who's the smartest corvid?

In my part of the world there's a cuckoo that pulls a heist on crows where the male makes annoying noises and the crows chase him off while the female cuckoo invades the nest and leaves an egg. When the egg hatches the bird inside looks nothing like a crow but the crow mama never catches on and pays child support until it's grown.

That cuckoo gets my vote for cleverest.

trick-or-treat··on EU-banned pesticides found in rice, tea and spices
While that's true (we should generally avoid ingesting lead).. Lead also gets excreted reasonably quickly.

In other words it's not a reason to avoid a few occasional pinches of cumin.

trick-or-treat··on Show HN: Startup sci-fi novel that took me 5 years to write
I will buy the ebook if I can pay with crypto.
trick-or-treat··on EU-banned pesticides found in rice, tea and spices
How much heavy meals can be hiding in a pinch of cumin realistically? Maybe you should invest in a metal detector.
trick-or-treat··on EU-banned pesticides found in rice, tea and spices
Sure, but you have to move to Ireland. That's a deal-breaker for most folks.
