tribe··on A History of Film in Wikipedia
I think that Juno is notable mostly as one of the most commercially successful "indie" films. It exposed a lot of mainstream audiences to films with a lower budget.
tribe··on A Great Response to a Cease and Desist Letter
The first time the page displayed for me, the response was shown as a 400 Bad Request Nginx error, which would have been a great response to this kind of C&D letter.
tribe··on Show HN: Explore music through adjectives
This is really neat! I think it would be interesting to see how the graphs of different reviewing websites compare. did you test it with any other sites and compare recommendations?
tribe··on If Higgs Boson Calculations Are Right, A 'Bubble' Could End Universe
I believe the article mentioned that signs of such an event would be visible in the cosmic microwave background radiation, and right now we have not seen them.
tribe··on Poll: Would HN benefit from Reddit's AMA-style posts from technologists?
There have been a number of posts about letting Reddit be Reddit and HN be HN, but I think that problems with the level of questions on Reddit is the reason that HN should do them; to provide a more serious place for discussions with these people. It isn't totally uncommon for important people to be on HN already to talk about something they have written, and I think the community has benefited from that.

The point isn't to talk about people, its to talk about ideas with "great minds"

tribe··on Thinking the unthinkable
This article [1] seems to highlight a number of issues with the original.

tribe··on Want the Truth Behind “I Am Adam Lanza’s Mother”? Read her blog.
I think that a better critique of "I Am Adam Lanza's Mother" can be found here [1], and discussed on hacker news here [2]. I think it is more productive to focus on the content of the original post than the author.

tribe··on UCLA's new transparent solar film could be game-changer
Sounds more like a game-charger to me!
tribe··on Mozilla UX: Save For Later (why bookmarks are broken and how to fix it)
This is definitely something I have considered before. I often have many many tabs open, usually as a means of remembering things that I should go back and look at. I use tree style tab [1] to organize them, and I try to keep things in groups by subject. I think that rather than having the user organize their bookmarks / long-term tabs, it might be easiest to group them automatically by subject or hyperlink trails. If a group wasn't visited after some time, it could be dumped into a designated bookmarks folder. I don't think it would be hard to set up filters which look at the content or titles of web pages and determine what type of group they are. For example, reddit/slashdot/hacker news posts waiting to be read could be grouped and dumped in one bookmarks location while stackOverflow and github tabs being used for a project could be in another.
