Also, how does Google want people to use their new services if they keep closing them down after their "failure" (a.k.a Google completely forgeting about them and proceeding to close them down).

So, part of that unusual demand was also customers finally upgrading their old MacBooks.

European politicans can't do that since they're busier trying to win next elections.
For example, they forced brands to switch to Type-C, everyone here cheered up the EU. This will come back to bite us in the a*. EU's actions were excessive and in the future will hurt innovation since brands will now have to ask permission to EU to come up with new standards if needed.
This would also make very easy to prove ownership. You have access to the address that owns said property, it's yours. It's as simple as that.
The database you'd need locally would be pretty much to store useful information and to track data on the blockchain.
I don't see any country using this anytime soon, or at all, but it is possible.
PS: I do understand you hate NFTs representing pictures of monkeys being worth millions of $, I also find it stupid, that doesn't give me the right to hate the entire technology that makes it possible.
I think it's fairly easy to understand (but you clearly hate the technology for some reason). The proof of ownership would be in the blockchain. NFT X represents X property, the address owning that NFT would technically own that NFT.
Also NFTs may also have descriptive data on them, so technically you could have a description marking that NFT as X property.
It's very much feasable, but from what I'm reading from you, you just hate the technology for the sake of it. Reminds me of Apple haters.
Shows complete lack of understanding of what you're talking about.
One thing though, software quality has been falling down a lot, including Apple’s
They have News, Microsoft Rewards and all other BS that doesn't need to be shown there imo. Sure can be useful for some folks and you have a setting to remove them. Would be nice if the setting actually worked.
For example, the setting to hide the news actually hides him from your sight but doesn't stop loading them at all, so if you scroll the page you still have them there. Hate it (not even considering that their news are garbage, I already downvoted a ton of celebrety news and they still show me the same amount of them).
So yeah, I guess I'd be more excited about AI search if wasn't Microsoft doing it. They are very poor designers and Windows 11 is the greatest example, with a lot of redundancy and elements that clearly don't fit in their new design language.
Bing is a mess right now...
Not even considering the amount of horror stories I usually hear about related to Airbnbs.
I still remember when my girlfriend searched for a fart noise podcast as a joke and then I kept getting suggestions based on it for weeks.
Also, I get why people get the idea that Portugal is "cheaper". Most come here in a trip, eat at a restaurant and pay a lot less than they're used to and they think the country is cheap. Well, that only happens because the wages are very low (our minimum wage for 2023 is 740€ and even though it raised a bit, the remaining wages aren't raising accordingly).
About 26% people are living abroad (emigrated) and many of the ones who are staying in the country end up working for portuguese companies who mostly also work abroad.
So, if those people fled a country with such great good, weather and specially their families, it should ring some red flags no?
It should be a huge red flag that one "nice" country has more than 20% of it's population living abroad: https://poligrafo.sapo.pt/fact-check/cotrim-de-figueiredo-po... (you might want to use Google Translate on this one).
I also saw some comments blaming the tourism for this "bubble" bursting. The portuguese can't complain about tourism since it's a huge part of our PIB.
