Future proofing inevitable things should be something to talk about more.

For instance, people will be scraping at a "growing" rate as they figure out how everything AI works. We might as well figure out some standard seeded data packages for training that ~all sources/sectors agree to make available as public torrents to reduce this type of problem.

[I realize this ask is currently idealistic, but it's an anchor point to negotiate from.]

I wore their away kit for Halloween this year :D

But I suspect they're just like all the others -- looking for credentialling where it doesn't yet exist.

[Guess we'll find out... not holding my breath for what would be a dream for us both]

Diabetes causes rupturing of small blood vessels, which has been seen in eyes and feet. It would follow that the same is happening in the brain and an anti-diabetic medicine would directly improve brain longevity in affected individuals.

*I am not a doctor, but also I can correlate data without bias.

Thanks for this.

I just pulled one [dug in] that I assume got on me meters away from a fully eaten deer carcass :/

Tweezed it out best I could, H2O2'd and lightly cauterized it then Neosporin'd, but still gonna have to play the bullseye waiting game AFAIK...

Got dang ticks!

To solve that:

Assumption: Apple's supply chain is gold standard [~max iterative tech envelope push & max known demand]

Hypothesis: This is swiftly re-creatable for any [max believable & max useful] product. "Detroit, waiting".

I like that! Although...Physics [so gpu] is enough to do it, when supplied with an optimized way to "know" momentary_[intent/\status] as a reduced ongoing string of equations.

...as soon as the MBAs realize "no bubble", in real actuality, Means "very many even bigger bubbles", and usher forth to unleash their true potential... we are set!
transitionnel··on The Mythical Non-Roboticist
One would think...all of the above.

I think, really, the emperor has had no clothes for quite some time. But -- now that we are here, the optimal path is towards open standards.

All historical business acumen points straight to black-box profit bubble. The enormity of what "Useful Robotics" will bring about has got to transcend that.

transitionnel··on The Mythical Non-Roboticist
That language sounds borne of hair-pulling disbelief.

If they can put ImageNet on a SOC, they can do it. [probably too big/watt]

Better yet: ImageNet bones on SOC, cacheable "Immediate Situation" fed by [the obvious logic programming that everyone glances past :) ]

Yes please. Just gotta make a convincing case, and ideally make sure all the folks "losing jobs" have a good pivot.

Which is the other, equally shiny part of the coin.

Elder care, anyone? They're as cool as you and me (+30yrs) :)

That's fake man. But yeah, I checked out those jobs ;) They certainly know what to do. Just not how.

You're right, that's why I'm surprised Honda has not done more.

Shoulda teamed up with the Nintendo folks, probably.

transitionnel··on The Mythical Non-Roboticist
It's so great to read genuine yet experienced insight like this.

Like last night on Twitter I saw an opening for Robotic Behavior Coordinator at Figure. I know for sure, having analyzed this problem with "nothing else" to do for 20 years, I would crush it with humility, and humanity would profit in orders of magnitude.

But they are not set up to hand me control of the rounding error of $40M I'd like [and would pay forward], *nor would their teams listen to me, due to human nature and academ-uenza*.

Such is our loss.

(as you ~say, "reinventing the ecosystem from scratch...")

transitionnel··on Tenstorrent unveils Grayskull, its RISC-V answer to GPUs
Like Intel SSE for media optimization probably?

Those models do seem to be the best currently available (IMO), so yeah power efficiencies for guaranteed common use cases should be a 0-day integration.

transitionnel··on Tenstorrent unveils Grayskull, its RISC-V answer to GPUs
Definitely looks wacky! Has nice concept though, I like the "Network On Chip" reversed toruses.

Hopefully some of y'all tinkerers with time and dough can bear some of these ideas to fruition, keep Nvidia on their toes ;)

64gb is a good RAM amount IMO, cheap yet still vastly underutilized since we play to the LCD of users... guessing Linux will be able to make that pivot much faster/so little baggage.

Plus..."Grayskull"
