tootahe45··on YouTube channel “TechLead” creator has created a crypto and pulled the rug
Isn't his channel all about making fun of how stupid crypto is?
tootahe45··on Pinterest bans weight loss ads in first for major social networks
Pinterest and 'major social network' in the same title..

How about no.

tootahe45··on YouTube microstrategy scam video earns $400k
Sending large amounts to yourself is a tactic to make it look to victims as though others are cashing in on the deal. There's nothing to suggest this wasn't the case here. Holding 400k in BTC during a bear market suggest the scammers have gotten quite wealthy though.

Does anybody know why the article redirected me to this link https://array/?u=%E2%80%A6&o=%E2%80%A6&m=1 ? am i hacked?

tootahe45··on Legal expert says Tether and Binance Coin are likely picks for SEC lawsuit
> decentralized stable coins like DAI that have smart contracts to ensure a level of backing

Which has been collateralized by centralized stable coins including tether, if i recall correctly..

tootahe45··on Renting Is Cheaper Than Buying in All 50 Major Metro Areas in the United States
I think it's quite common for people to waste all of their money on consumption and not save or invest, so a mortgage in a way is a forced savings account which helps to average person build or at least save some wealth over time.
tootahe45··on Congress is going to throw the kitchen sink at big tech
> Congress is going to throw the kitchen sink at big tech

Didn't America just elect a big-tech puppet govt or did i miss something.

tootahe45··on The Ransomware Problem Is a Bitcoin Problem
- Low liquidity on exchanges for privacy coins, meaning if you order 5m Monero it drastically increases the price

- FSPs may question and refuse to facilitate a Monero purchase due to its niche usage

- Major exchanges don't list XMR and you want as few hoops as possible to allow the victim to pay, can easily just switch your btc for XMR later, that's fairly simple on a decentralized exchange or a shady offshore one.

tootahe45··on Microsoft Irish subsidiary paid zero corporate tax on £220bn profit last year
Don't forget your cap gains and consumption taxes
tootahe45··on Bitcoin traders using up to 100-to-1 leverage driving swings in cryptocurrencies
Big tech is getting away with anything now days. I went without ad-block on YouTube for a week and all i saw were pyramid schemes and get-rich-quick crypto courses, probably targeted to early 20s males like myself. On Reddit pump-and-dump subs are even getting to the front page. These companies are happily profiting off of it. Just don't insert any views to the right of Marx and you're good to scam as many people as you like.
tootahe45··on U.S. has almost 500k job openings in cybersecurity
I imagine lot of these would be highly laborious analytical-type roles (staring at a dashboard all day) which don't lead to the high paying and glamorized hacker/pentester roles.
tootahe45··on National hiring experiments reveal 2:1 preference for women on STEM tenure track (2015)
Seeing under-qualified women who were winging it the whole way through their degree get top jobs straight out of uni, then getting rejected from the same firms myself, had me very jaded on this subject. Also missed an internship i really wanted, instead of automating key processes for the company they ended up doing literally nothing the whole time they were there (they barely figured out the basics of Powershell by the end of the internship (the company wanted it done in Powershell)). This led to depression and a year of me not even bothering to seek employment. Sorry if this comment is pointless, just needed to vent.

My personal view is that it's not about being a woman but about being a well socialized 'cultural fit'. Almost all women i meet are well socialized, only a minority of men my age seem to fit into this category though.

tootahe45··on Tether Backed by 3.87% Cash
That seems unbelievably high
tootahe45··on Microsoft is shutting down its Azure Blockchain Service
Wowing govt officials and scamming public money.
tootahe45··on An analysis of Bitcoin's throughput bottlenecks
You can't make a huge return holding USD. We just need to pretend this is real adoption to recruit more to the ponzi.
tootahe45··on Thousands of Tor exit nodes attacked cryptocurrency users over the past year
Stopped taking tor seriously when i read one of these attackers controlled something like 30% of exit nodes around 1-2 years ago. Just makes you wonder whether the rest are govt hosted given there are no incentives for anybody to host a node. Another reason i don't trust TOR is that on the TOR subreddit they always tell you not to use a VPN before TOR, which just seems very suspect given there is only upside to doing this (VPN only sees what your ISP would've seen unless the vpn client is malware).
tootahe45··on Google is going to turn on 2FA by default
Same thing here, my 'your other device' was a VM that i had deleted. Telegram did this to me as well and won't send the text message..
tootahe45··on California population declines for first time in more than a century
As long as living standards are lower elsewhere, you can just get replacements from other countries. You spend less this way as well and don't have to raise and educate people. You can also call people racists if they don't like it.
tootahe45··on It's hard for founders to find a job
Calling yourself a founder, 'serial entrepreneur' or CEO at every possible instance would be a red flag also, along with the self-perceived lefty heroism.
tootahe45··on The ransomware surge
To be fair it was a regulated stable-coin issuer based in NY where i was redeeming stable-coins for USD, so the strictest of all AML was to be expected. I was just surprised the tech is already in place for a travel rule for crypto. If i would guess it would've been a company like chainanalysis aggregating the exchange data to enable this.
tootahe45··on Stock Market Returns Are Anything but Average
Just be glad the US has a relatively strong saving scheme like the 401k, without it everybody puts their money into real-estate. It has been happening in my country and has been going on for decades, causing house costs vs income to be way out of whack compared to US.
tootahe45··on The ransomware surge
Already happening with 'unhosted' wallets being blocked or heavily scrutinized. My personal experience is as follows:

Sent over 20 transactions from US exchange -> US exchange and no problems.

Sent a single transaction from my unhosted software wallet -> US exchange, and got my account locked. Questioned on everything including my employer's information, had do re-do advanced KYC, source of funds etc. (The unhosted wallet was funded from an exchange which makes it stupid, and i didn't use any coinjoins or anything).

tootahe45··on The ransomware surge
I don't get why everybody cares so much about the ransomware/cryptominer part, but not the data being exfiltrated and sold/used for criminal activity part..
tootahe45··on Lambda School agrees to end deceptive educational financing practices
You just described 80% of the tertiary education courses unis offer.
tootahe45··on College as a Marriage Market
Where i studied there were maybe 2 girls max in all of my engineering classes, And all of the guys i met were just interested in video games and had no social lives (like myself). The social networking aspect of uni was the biggest joke of all.
tootahe45··on Nassim Taleb: Bitcoin failed as a currency and became a speculative ponzi scheme
Why does every feature implementation feel like the Manhattan Project for the crypto guys? So many of these stories were told in 2017, and in 2021 we're still talking about future updates and 'will be', rather than working products.

Eth 2.0 for example was talked about for years, I'm still here getting wrecked on fees.

Lightning network for reducing BTC fees is another beauty we hear less about now days.

tootahe45··on Facebook prevents sharing New York Post story on BLM co-founder's real estate
> I’m all for the message behind it

> they smashed up mine and my husbands car windows

Hopefully this caused you to do more research on the message.

tootahe45··on Berlin rent cap overturned by Germany's top court
Everybody understands this, except people taking part in movements hijacked by the wealthy to block any new developments. Here in New Zealand they are using indigenous groups to achieve the goal of blocking new builds, in Germany it's the green movements.

Something tells me governments are also interested in real estate prices going up.

tootahe45··on CEO of a top Bitcoin exchange warns: crackdown on cryptocurrencies may be coming
> - Micro Payments / Internet money

Isn't eth terrible at this? i have $12 USDT stuck on an eth address because i need to spent $30 worth of eth to send it. That's not even including the fee I'll incur when i have to send eth to the address to fund it..

tootahe45··on Min wage would be $44 / hour if it had grown at same rate as Wall Street bonuses
If the jobs were that easy to automate they would have been automated at the current rate. Min wage going from $18-20 doesn't suddenly make that all-in-one supermarket bot doable. Automating real world jobs is hard and often not viable especially for dynamic work. Even the no-brainier automation like self-checkouts are actually not saving much apparently. (could be false, heard it on a anti-min wage channel).
tootahe45··on Min wage would be $44 / hour if it had grown at same rate as Wall Street bonuses
In many ways he is losing out. Rent for example increases with ability to pay (in NZ at least), so if govt raised welfare payments and min wage, his rent could go up without seeing a wage increase.

I do think it's OP fault for not taking action though, not the govt. It's like my dad who has complained he is underpaid for the past 10 years yet still doesn't switch job..
