Neat idea.

tlongren··on Use Bootstrap, Nobody will Notice

With the number of free "theme" sites around, I think $50 is a bit steep. However, the idea is awesome and I'd love to try it out.

tlongren··on Free Tools For Web Developers

A good list, but nothing most here haven't heard of.

tlongren··on All Packt ebooks are $5

Exactly the process I went through with them too while writing WordPress Multisite Administration.

Glad I don't use online bitcoin wallets.

tlongren··on All Packt ebooks are $5

I wrote WordPress Multisite Administration for Packt. http://www.packtpub.com/wordpress-multisite-administration/b...

It was an overall pleasant experience, but I do agree they care more about quantity than quality. Their entire editing process was really sloppy. And review process is crap, at best.

I'm writing my next book through Leanpub.com, that way I will actually make money and can have waaay more control over the final product.

tlongren··on Create Floating Form Labels with FloatLabel.js or JVFloat.js

Cool, I hadn't seen that one yet! It's seems to be very small in terms of file size. I'll have to check it out more later. Thanks for the link.

tlongren··on Show HN: Affordabl.es, a collection of creative gifts I built in 7 days.

Some really cool things on there! I just might have to pick something up for my wife. Thanks for sharing!

Really, really simple to use. 2000 emails a month will be plenty for me for right now.

tlongren··on Ask HN: How do you go about estimating effort and time for php project

Experience, mostly.

tlongren··on DigitalOcean announces second Amsterdam datacenter

Awesome. The private network offering is what finally got me to move some sites to DigitalOcean. Haven't looked back, I love it.

tlongren··on Ask HN: Gift Idea Generator

I really like the idea. One suggestion: some sort of visual indicator to tell me how far through the process I am would be stellar.
