tjtang··on Equity share with co-founder for an app I've already built
Why not go down the partner route? Keep your equity until they have proven themselves.

Your goal is to have sales, not marketing. Give a cut of ARR. Rate varies depending on how much partnership involvement is expected for the sale.

SEEKING WORK | Singapore | REMOTE

I am a technical lead/project manager with extensive experience delivering projects throughout the region.

I typically oversee the whole delivery lifecycle: from presales to requirements gathering, solution architecture, development, testing/QA and support/devops.

I am available for full-time or part-time work, short-term or long-term.

If you have a project that you need someone to oversee or outsource entirely please contact: tjtang {@} google's email

tjtang··on Ask HN: What similarities might the crypto market have with the dot com bubble?
The similarity is GREED.

People invest in a bubble, despite knowing it is a bubble, because they want to make money. And they are willing to take the risk to do so. Why not, when you can invest a small amount of your net worth and make 2-10x returns in a matter of months? The only problem is nobody knows when the bubble will burst.

Bitcoin like Boo.com, Pets.com, WebVan, etc. were first movers, had good branding and promised disruptive models. These all have value, but were overvalued because the main motivation was to make money. Just like how the main reason to buy Bitcoin now is to make money.

tjtang··on Some people see this dress as white and gold while others see black and blue
Any one else saw blue and gold? FWIW I'm viewing on an ipad.
tjtang··on Ask HN: A practical use for bot traffic
Bot traffic I'm guessing is from spiders and scrapers.

And paid bot traffic is probably hits to artificially increase your website traffic so it seems more popular. Maybe this helps with SEO?

Another guess, it can be used for load testing websites. And if you are on the receiving end perhaps you could redirect them somewhere else using your .htaccess file. Probably lots of this on Fiverr.

tjtang··on My app is earning $30,000 per year. Would you like to buy it?
I'm interested if it's still available. Please email me at teejtang at google's email service.
tjtang··on What was your best passive income in 2014?
Is this arbitrage betting? What is the capital you use to generate the $500?
tjtang··on What was your best passive income in 2014?
Why just a $4 ad budget if it's doing so well?
tjtang··on What was your best passive income in 2014?
That's really good returns, 7K a week from a 126K startup capital. The obvious next move would be to scale it.
tjtang··on What was your best passive income in 2014?
Problem with white label sites is that you still need to do a whole lot of marketing on your end. How do you compete with the big sites?
tjtang··on Game about squares
I really enjoyed this game. I went through every level and what amazed me most was the creativity it took to come up with the different levels of difficulty. It's not the repeated stuff you get in Candy Crush. Finding a solution is one thing but designing the levels is a different skill set altogether. We'll done.
