I used SwiftUI.

I went full TDD with the app so it was easy enough to build the logical parts of it. The UI is fairly simple, but whenever I found that Claude did not understand exactly what I wanted, I gave it a screenshot/image of a design and it did things pretty well.

It's nothing big. I wanted an offline natural language to cron/cron to natural language translator and I wanted to get some experience building MacOS apps. It's not vibe coded, but I did get good help from Claude since it's my first time building MacOS apps. It's free and no data is collected.

Has a tip jar in case anyone wants to support the effort

Working on a meal tracking app (iOS/SwiftUI) that helps you understand eating patterns - mood, hunger levels, where you eat, etc. Built it to learn Swift and shipping to the App Store.

Honestly struggling with whether it's solving a real problem though. The detailed tracking with quantities and calories feels like too much friction.

Would love to hear if anyone actually tracks their meal habits and what works for them.

Hello from California. I'm a full stack developer. Primarily Scala/JS/TS. I do some Haskell and Python on the side. Love functional programming. I built a bunch of Haskell projects that people still use. I don't have the time to maintain them anymore. Want to get back into it again. Kind of want to learn Rust. I'm currently trying to build Strava for the command line because I like minimalism. Want to build a few iOS apps next. Waiting to get a new Macbook Pro.

Cheers!
