throwawaypath··on Open Source for IBM Z and LinuxONE
Open source on the most closed and expensive hardware platform available where IBM charges you for every instruction cycle.
throwawaypath··on Wikipedia cofounder Larry Sanger blocked from editing Wikipedia
>Having a labyrinth of rules to follow and then applying them asymmetrically is a classic way to build power for the ingroup and exile outsiders.

This is why Codes of Conducts became so popular.

throwawaypath··on Israeli firm BlackCore suspected of meddling in New York and Scotland votes
Remember when leftists were saying the UK rape gangs didn't happen? Pepperidge Farms remembers.
throwawaypath··on Tesco moving 40k server workloads off VMware amid Broadcom's abusive conduct
No one is arguing that upstream Kubernetes pieces aren't open source. OpenShift is not open source. If it was, why does RedHat sell licenses for it, gate the binaries, and not share the byte-for-byte reproducible sources for said binaries?
throwawaypath··on Tesla allegedly in autopilot mode crashes into Texas house, woman killed
Is there a Polymarket bet for this being Autopilot vs DWI? These types of accidents happen all the time, alcohol involved in many (most?).
throwawaypath··on Tesco moving 40k server workloads off VMware amid Broadcom's abusive conduct
Trading Broadcom for IBM... what could go wrong?
throwawaypath··on U.S. pulling ocean sensors a 'shock' for Canadian research as El Niño nears
Not surprised I didn't get a response.
throwawaypath··on U.S. science is in chaos
Fascist are defunding critical studies that would rocket the US ahead in science. Studies such as:

Culture Change for Inclusion of Indigenous Voices in Biology

Strengthening Inclusion by Change in Building Equity, Diversity and Understanding (SICBEDU) in Integrative Biology

An Equitable, Justice-Focused Ecosystem for Pacific Northwest Secondary CS [Computer Science] Teaching

https://nsf-gov-resources.nsf.gov/files/NSF-Terminated-Award...

China won't stand a chance against us with studies like these!

throwawaypath··on U.S. science is in chaos
That was debunked: https://econjwatch.org/articles/mckinsey-s-diversity-matters...

Thank you for confirming it was fake news. He did not state that the US was going to give Iran $300 billion.
throwawaypath··on U.S. pulling ocean sensors a 'shock' for Canadian research as El Niño nears
>That 300 billion number came from JD Vance.

No it didn't, that is fake news. Please provide an unbiased source where JD Vance claims the US will be paying Iran $300 billion.

throwawaypath··on U.S. pulling ocean sensors a 'shock' for Canadian research as El Niño nears
>You keep using those words, but it's clear you don't know what they mean

Don't project your inability to discern fake news on others.

>(or what anything means)

Cringe.

>Enjoy your trolling.

Enjoy your fake news delusions.

throwawaypath··on U.S. pulling ocean sensors a 'shock' for Canadian research as El Niño nears
>The US fought and lost a war and Iran comes out ahead, and the US and its allies come out worse and poorer.

That is also fake news. The US did not lose the war: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2026_Iran_war

throwawaypath··on U.S. pulling ocean sensors a 'shock' for Canadian research as El Niño nears
>We haven't seen the agreement yet.

Which why the $300 million claim is fake news.

throwawaypath··on U.S. pulling ocean sensors a 'shock' for Canadian research as El Niño nears
No, that was fake news. The 300 billion dollars isn't coming from the US.
throwawaypath··on U.S. pulling ocean sensors a 'shock' for Canadian research as El Niño nears
No, that was fake news. The 300 billion dollars isn't coming from the US.
throwawaypath··on Texas is America Inc's new centre of gravity
The entire state of California is in a significantly worse water situation versus practically any other state (much worse than Texas).
throwawaypath··on Let's Destroy American Science
Reread my comment. It doesn't belong in science.
throwawaypath··on Oracle is changing free tier limits. Update by the 15th to avoid charges
Oracle Cloud, IBM Cloud... How do they acquire customers? Why use these platforms in 2026?
throwawaypath··on Let's Destroy American Science
In my experience, people who get mad about "decolonization" tend to either fully understand what's actually being discussed or they got ragebaited by something consequential that they've blown up to rational proportions.
throwawaypath··on Israeli firm BlackCore suspected of meddling in New York and Scotland votes
I’m glad to see racism doesn’t have the sting it used to have. It’s been a shield to hide behind while doing the most abhorrent things. The world is waking up.
throwawaypath··on Elon Musk Becomes First Trillionaire as SpaceX Starts Trading
These loans still have interest and regular payments. They are not like your mortgage or credit cards, but interest and minimums still apply.
throwawaypath··on Elon Musk Becomes First Trillionaire as SpaceX Starts Trading
Same as anyone else with a HELOC, asset secured loan, etc. You have to pay loans back, which is why they're not taxed as income.
throwawaypath··on The LLM warnings Google fired Timnit Gebru over have all come true
Like classic propaganda, the complete opposite of her histrionic warnings have come true. The environmental cost "prediction" isn't hers, this was known before Timnit Gebru started her anti-White/anti-male/DEI fake research campaign that caused her firing from Google.
throwawaypath··on How do you design a $30k electric pickup? Inside Ford's skunkworks
It is crazy when I hear people say they want to walk, bike, or ride a motorcycle on American roads. American SUVs and trucks are enormous in both height and weight. Walking, biking, or riding a motorcycle does not offer the necessary crash protection.
throwawaypath··on AI job grief: A psychological crisis hitting tech workers
>but people at IBM, India tend to write decent code for IBM, US.

If you've ever used IBM software, you'd know this is nowhere near reality.

throwawaypath··on xAI is looking more like a datacentre REIT than a frontier lab
Isn't renting GPUs in this scenario renting shovels? GPUs do the "digging".

throwawaypath··on xAI is looking more like a datacentre REIT than a frontier lab
Sounds like a sound strategy to actually profit in during the AI craze, no?
