Now I just use my EU data plan, it has enough data for short stays.
Anyway, it is stupid argument. It is like saying car does not need spare tire, because wheels are welded to save 10 ounces on bolts.
Are you trolling? The primary argument is data recovery. Anything on laptop can die: charging port, motherboard... With soldered ssd your data are gone! You need to resolder SSD into exact same machine type, it may take 5 weeks if you are lucky!
It takes 5 minutes to swap normal SSD into new machine and reboot! Maybe 1 hour if you have to go into shop!
Stay at your index!!!
Weather is a big issue. It is impossible to put kid into buggy/trolley in rain without it getting wet. 1 year old with pneumonia is a horrible thing. Add shopping in rain etc...
Bikes have horrible safety record on their own, even in "safe" bicycle infrastructure. Crashing into pole on bike and in car is a big difference. Common bike-buggies have zero protection for kids.
Rebuilding grid for solar and EVs requires major overhaul. That is not happening. In EU prices are already up by 50% and grid is becoming more unstable. When Germany switches off its remaining nuclear and coal power plants, it will sky rockets.
People will build off-grid solars to avoid fees, and government will make off-grid illegal or tax it severely.
I would be more concerned about vendor packages. For example stock weather widget uses GPS and pinks servers, even when not in use...
Not everyone is Windows or MacOS expert. I do programming for 30 years. Las time I used Windows was 15 years ago. I never used Mac (maybe like 3 hours total).
If you have decent money, using single account/country is not just lazy, but stupid.
Computers should have normal auditable log files, board schemes and spare parts. If it works right, it should be invisible. If it stops working, I call plumber who will fix it very cheaply.
This "computers are magic" is just BS. I refuse to "interact" with my thermostat. Soon this 6th sense will feed ads into my subconsciousness.
US navy started against pirates in 1820...
