The pay is pretty fair. They're teaching material that every high school graduate should theoretically be able to teach, so the barrier to entry is low. Most of the prep work can be reused for the next year. Their hours are OK, and they line up with when their kids are in school. Plus they get summers off. It's a shitty job if you actually care, but pretty cushy if you check out and just do what's required.
It's validation. Windows has gone downhill, Apple locks you in, you use Linux on principle.
Hah!
The big issue with choosing a smaller, natural stone is you can't really be sure it's actually natural. The industry has so many unethical practices I wouldn't be confident in any "certification" that comes with a stone's origin. Even lower-grade stones might just be from lab rejects, or labs intentionally growing good, but not perfect stones.
The only surprising thing here is that people who work in the DEI space have deluded themselves into thinking there's that much work to do.
I recently tried playing some video games adjacent to ones I've loved before, and I found it really hard to get into them. The games are Red Dead Redemption and SimCity 4, so the graphics and gameplay mechanics are ok. It's just been hard to really get into them.
This is one of my "I could have died" moments.
Or $0 if you're a SWE living on the coasts.
I realize we make a lot, but we pay a lot in taxes. Just send the $3,000 check to millionaires and don't worry about it. I'm getting frustrated with the government telling me I'm rich while I can't afford an upper middle class home.
