thomasconneron Ask HN: How do you manage your financials?

I have tried using YNAB and Mint for managing my finances/budgeting but have come away disappointed. Currently I use a spreadsheet to budget the current year.

I have been thinking about writing an app to do the things like YNAB/Mint but better.

Would you like to see something like this? Would you pay for an app like this? What are some of the things you would like the app to do?

thomasconneron Ask HN: Advice for new project managers on new projects

My general advice would be to plan, plan, plan. This could be using a tool like Jira or Github Projects. Have whiteboard sessions to discuss the architecture before you get started and make sure you plan it out well. Communication is also really important so everyone knows what each other is doing.
