thenewgreen··on To Elon Musk and the Model S: Congratulations
Agreed. I may not be the biggest "PayPal" fan but I'm certainly a "Musk" fan. To Mars!
thenewgreen··on Close your laptop
What about people that take notes on their laptop? They exist, they are strange I'll admit but they exist.
thenewgreen··on Show HN: I made a social network for musicians
I think it's a great idea and looks like it's well put together. You may have seen my criticism above about how to "login", this is more a criticism of FB, not fandalism (but change it, make it optional).

Also, fantastic homage to the Bee-Gee's on your Uke! Have you seen this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LrXlVPn0DI

thenewgreen··on Show HN: I made a social network for musicians
"But, dude, you're asking for the key to my front door and we've never even drunk a beer together"! -Well put. I'm a musician and would likely love to utilize the site but I'll never find out because I won't support this sort of intrusion. F_ck fb. You can grow without them... in spite of them even!

Thank you.
thenewgreen··on Sugar Should Be Regulated As Toxin, Researchers Say
Huh, was just talking about this on hubksi: http://hubski.com/pub?id=15982

I provided this link there too: http://naturalnews.com/Images/Cola-Earlier.jpg

It wasn't so long ago that the cola industry was actively marketing it as something that was beneficial to "put in a bottle".

I imagine that years from now we will look back at our naiveté regarding health with shock and awe.

thenewgreen··on Why Google+ will become Google's only product
This reminds me of this article: http://hubski.com/pub?id=2069

I think it's an interesting argument. Google+ might be Google's biggest success, and also sew the seeds of their downfall. Now that G+ is spreading into Gmail, there is no going back.

thenewgreen··on Building A Startup Backwards
It's an interesting idea. It seems to me that so much of the revenue side depends on scale. How can you monetize something if you aren't sure how its going to be used etc? The user experience often drives how a site can be monetized... you know?
thenewgreen··on Steve Jobs Book Excerpt: Why he wore the black mock turtleneck uniform
What is a brand? It's a symbol that identifies a good or service. The best brands are instantly recognizable, and apple with a bite missing... or a guy in black turtleneck. Both were brilliant moves.

He branded himself as "the" innovator of our times. Was the turtleneck intentional marketing?

thenewgreen··on A Note of Appreciation From the Rich
Income? What's income? Appreciation we understand, capital gains... sure. But income? Surely, you jest.
