theklub··on To help gamers on Twitch, Dr. K balances mental health advice and medical ethics
Twitch has become 50% soft-core porn, I’m actually surprised what they’ve allowed it to become.
theklub··on Casio SK-1
I had this exact model as a kid, spent countless hours playing with it. Might still be at my parents. Seems odd to be posted on HN.
theklub··on Super Mario 64 game sells for record-breaking $1.5M at auction
Who purchased it? I believe it's an advertisement for grading services/a way to grow the industry.
theklub··on The 88x31 GIF Collection
I remember putting these on my geocities page not really knowing what they were just to look cool.
theklub··on I need to explain to you just how dire America's Pokémon card crisis is
Could be funded by someone, but really many collectible markets are insane right now, MTG, even basketball cards are going for insane prices.
theklub··on Technologies I thought my son would never use
Most of these assumptions seem crazy to me and this just feels like blog spam more than truth.

Just want to point out that police are friendly with protesters all the time and often take pictures with them even when they are anti police protests.
theklub··on Bitcoin value surges past $30k
FOMO and the US giving cash out like crazy. Paypal also has a bitcoin option so that probably opened it to more users too.
theklub··on Crossing 2000 Miles of Siberia to Reach One of the Most Isolated Cities on Earth
You might like "the long way down" or "the long way round". Sounds like this expedition would have been cool as a mini series too.
theklub··on Brazil scientists map forest regrowth keeping Amazon from collapse: Study
Norway tried, Brazil doesn't care....https://www.reuters.com/article/us-brazil-environment-norway...

I believe Farc did more to protect the Amazon.

theklub··on Before the Mayflower
Yes it’s mentioned in the article that it was published at some point.
theklub··on HP Instant Ink is “ink as a service”
I thought the go "paperless" push died a decade ago, but maybe not.
theklub··on Investors Extracted $400M from a Hospital Chain
Selling out your non-profit hospital to an investment firm that turns around, sells out the physical property the hospitals are in for 1 billion+ and signs a 30 year lease on said properly. Firm banks the profit from the real estate deal, then resells the business that's now saddled with way more debt than it ever had in the form of leases back to the CEO they bought it from to begin with for peanuts. It's really the fleecing of America. Sure someone made a ton of money but now the once "community" hospitals are left in horrible shape.
theklub··on Welcome to the Old Internet Again
It's interesting how gifs died and came back
theklub··on Twitter and Facebook's action over Joe Biden article reignites bias claims
"Sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never hurt me" Was the phrase I grew up on. Seems like the opposite today where we allow looting and riots but saying the wrong thing gets you in trouble.
