theaccordance··on Ask HN: Which programming language and Web Framework to learn SaaS development?
I recommend considering the MEAN stack if you're teaching a course on building SaaS projects. The students will benefit from this due to the MEAN stack's continual rise in popularity, and the fact that they'll essentially be using a single programming language - JavaScript.
theaccordance··on Ask HN: How much to put in a resignation letter?
This is the body of a boilerplate template that I've used the last two times I've changed jobs:

Please accept this letter as formal notification that I am leaving my position with [company name] on [full date of departure]. After much consideration I have decided to accept another job offer. My new position will enhance my career growth and will expose me to challenges and opportunities that I believe are in my best interest.

I value the professional relationships I have made with my coworkers, as well as yourself. Because of this, if there is anything I can do in my last days of employment to help transition my work, please let me know.

theaccordance··on Stop Using LinkedIn
Not sure where you're going with that, have you read the official post from LinkedIn or the Wired Article? That will help give better context to my comment.
theaccordance··on Stop Using LinkedIn
Guessing that someone isn't happy that their lead generation app just lost its data input?

This website is nothing more than a knee-jerk reaction that tries to rally readers by crafting a context that makes it sound as if LinkedIn's changes are not in the interest of the user.

Yes, I would like open access to the API, but I'd gladly trade that if it helps reduce the volume of spam sales/recruitment inquiries I receive.

The partnership integration route may have extra hoops to jump through, but it doesn't concern someone like myself who's anticipating LinkedIn integration with our product; our intent is not what LinkedIn is trying to curb.

theaccordance··on Things I wish people who write job postings would stop writing
No arguments from me regarding the first set of words, but the second set? Those do hold benefit when used properly to communicate context, especially with differentiating between a presumed core skill requirement and supplemental nice-to-have.
theaccordance··on Poll: What's Your Favorite IDE for JavaScript?
I've become a huge fan of Webstorm since focusing on developing MEAN-stack apps. 30 day trial, and $50 for a license. Not too bad if your dev activities are generating income.
