thallium205··on Valve confirms credit card companies pressured it to delist certain adult games
This is the correct answer. There are many merchant categories, adult being just one of them, that are susceptible to high chargeback rates which result in payment processors banning them.
thallium205··on Valve confirms credit card companies pressured it to delist certain adult games
Adult content is considered a high risk merchant category - meaning it is susceptible to high chargeback and fraud rates. This is because after someone pays for and consumes adult content, a certain level of "clarity" overcomes them resulting in the execution of chargebacks against the merchant.

It has nothing to do with any sort of puritanical premise.

My wife and her sister can unlock each other’s iPhones using the face unlock feature which blows my mind because they do NOT look super similar and are 4 years apart. I’ve turned off all biometrics and use only a PIN. I’m extremely skeptical of the tech.

thallium205··on Americans' love affair with big cars is killing them
Pretty ridiculous to not measure deaths per some unit of distance traveled.
thallium205··on Americans' love affair with big cars is killing them
Because when you live in a country as large as the United States, you are on the road a lot more so your chances of dying on the road go up. The quoted statistic is not per unit of distance it’s just per 100,000 people so it’s biased towards places that are smaller.

Nonsense. The government took a $10.5B loss when it converted the loan to equity. At one point the government owned 61% of GM. Wild.

You have to report the card is lost or stolen then the new number will not propagate. You likely asked for a replacement card which will propagate the new number through the network.
