tehlike··on Tesla takes on $30B in credit as it approaches unprofitability
I would also like a 7 seater, but that might be uniquely american concept.
tehlike··on Analyzing Frontier Model Progress with My Favourite Game: Prince of Persia
That may still be a new model. Having an existing broken engine might bias the new model in iterative design vs figuring out what's wrong in the first place.
tehlike··on Analyzing Frontier Model Progress with My Favourite Game: Prince of Persia
Instead of fixing a broken version, maybe each model should have started from scratch
tehlike··on Claude Code reads AGENTS.md only when telemetry is on [fixed]
I must have misremembered. I wish you kept the original though.

Because "Even if this was an honest rollout mistake" this is a new addition, changes meaning quite a bit.

I disagree with what you wrote now partially (your comment on claude), but it does sound fair, and i wouldn't have written what i wrote.

tehlike··on Claude Code reads AGENTS.md only when telemetry is on [fixed]
The person had something else before they edited. They were overly negative, saying (from my memory) that it was inexcusable, and they had enough, pointing to malice.

The response as it is now sounds fair. Before that it was not.

tehlike··on Claude Code reads AGENTS.md only when telemetry is on [fixed]
Not everything is malicious. The author of the feature already responded on why this happened
tehlike··on The new CC, an AI agent built for families
They can still find a different name. Cc is not the only possible name in the names universe.
tehlike··on OpenAI GPT–6 Astra breaks Enigma message that has resisted solution since 2005
Why does any of this matter? Llm is a memory of knowledge, of course it got what it got based on prior work.

It can code enigma simulator from the algorithm. That's not really a problem. Astra will send computing to programs, LLMs are not good at computing themselves, why is this a big deal?

tehlike··on New evidence for hidden chambers beyond Tutankhamun's tomb
Stargate origins was not a great series, but talks about egypt and stargate :D
tehlike··on The Google Play app review process now regularly takes longer than a week
You can imagine with the AI models we have now, many of the stuff reviewers do could be automated to a large extent. They can also determine through binary diffing that functionality changes may be limited etc. Many things can be done to eliminate majority of the queue for example.
tehlike··on The Google Play app review process now regularly takes longer than a week
Review speed and slopness are related but not exclusive to each other.
tehlike··on The Google Play app review process now regularly takes longer than a week
I decided not to engage with you. Not productive.
tehlike··on The Google Play app review process now regularly takes longer than a week
Why do you think apple has point releases that fix... Bugs every time? Not necessarily new features but bugs.

Lesson in there.

tehlike··on The Google Play app review process now regularly takes longer than a week
And you know 100% all the bugs are visible at all times.
tehlike··on The Google Play app review process now regularly takes longer than a week
You should want higher speed and quality of service from your vendors. In this case, apple is paid wonderfully for it.
tehlike··on The Google Play app review process now regularly takes longer than a week
Speed is money. Yes people wait for 9 months for having a baby, doesn't mean you should wait 9 months for an app release. That is not a sound logic.
tehlike··on The Google Play app review process now regularly takes longer than a week
For apps with a scale, it's a long time
tehlike··on The Google Play app review process now regularly takes longer than a week
Huh.

On the flip side, googles release infra provides much more functionality for apps that already has scale. I wish apple were more production oriented too.

tehlike··on Fable 5.1 Solves the Cyphral Distich, a 370-year-old cipher
pretty sure you are not the only one. At least a dozen people are looking at it, for sure.
tehlike··on Code is free speech (2020)
As the chatter around open source models getting banned, we should all remember the history behind code is free speech.

It's relevant, it's timeless.

tehlike··on ElevenLabs Music v2.5
I have a friend who came to me and said "i found a new french musician/singer that i really liked on <some platform>. Her voice is really good". and a day or two later he said "god dammit, it turned out to be AI"

So yes, there'll be demand, no people won't often know it.

tehlike··on 1M+ German households have hung solar panels off their balcony railings
People similarly started fence mounting solar panels
tehlike··on Don't let anyone take away your big box of cables
I put them into individual bags, usually group of two of the same kind e.g. USB a to c.
tehlike··on Bending Spoons buying Miro for $1.355B
Partially, but why is that a problem?
tehlike··on Chrome again exempts Google from user site data settings
Might is doing a lot of heavy lifting here.
tehlike··on Chrome again exempts Google from user site data settings
1. ads are not useless. 2. without ads, there would be significantly less free content for people to read. 3. politicians are human too, but not the best of us except a few. Yes.

It's hip to say ads make things worse, but reality is often much more nuanced.

My original point being, many times an external person may think something is intentional when it may very well be a bug or may be there for a good reason.

I have observed a few of those both as an external person or an internal person.

tehlike··on Chrome again exempts Google from user site data settings
Engineers are humans.
tehlike··on GPT-6 Astra
At this point in time, we should be able to switch to 3D pelicans in a navigable environment.
tehlike··on Google avoids a breakup of its ad tech business
I don't think this is what I respoded to. We cannot deny IBMs contribution, just like we can't deny google's.

But where they are in their life as a company is a different question. IBM is beyond growth phase. May even be on the decline phase.

My point is Google is still in its growth phase, still inventing, growing, etc.

tehlike··on Google avoids a breakup of its ad tech business
I would say google is still in its growth phase, albeit a slower one. Especially with capex spending etc.
