techno303··on Google, Microsoft and xAI agree to share early AI models with U.S.
getting the vibe that english isn't your first language, and don't feel like arguing theough a language barrier

i don't begin to understand either of these points

fwiw i'm woke, happy to be woke, encourage wokeness

Taxes? How?

I agree with the rest, sure.

Health codes and safety rules are woke, yes. I would have thought that as given. Debates over where you draw the line are absolutely a matter of wokeness.

The way freedom of expression is regulated today is generally woke. The WPFI is insanely woke.

I don't think I'm smart/intellectual enough to respond to this

or i just don't understand what you're saying

Limiting a business's ability to exist because they can't afford to accommodate a small percentage of the population is 100% about wokeness

why? Most regulations (ADA, affirmative action, etc.) fall into the "not woke enough" category of model regulation. Current administration aside, complaints of this sort are more likely. It’s absurd, really, to believe there would be a regulation governing a model being too woke; regulation itself is woke

are you talking about a single prompt that runs for 24 hours or 8 hours of developer time spent in a single session?
techno303··on VS Code inserting 'Co-Authored-by Copilot' into commits regardless of usage
maybe long term vs. short term is the key idea. apple, for example, could rake in bountiful measures in the short term if they ventured away from their boutique-electronic-consumer-goods niche. in the long run it would hurt their bottom line to do so
techno303··on Spotify adds 'Verified' badges to distinguish human artists from AI
6 tracks have made the Billboard charts. That's a pretty definitive signal that people are listening to AI music.

Where to draw the line on what is/isn't AI is a rabbit hole in and of itself. You'd have a hard time convincing me that people aren't using AI to build the most powerful DSP plugins. I've been very pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to make very music-useful tools with Faust and Codex.

gonna push back on this

i don't see a relationship betwern criticism and the chance of automation/replacement

the harshest critics that i see tend to be, almost ubiquitously, creatives

perhaps just my walk of life
