That sounds like a horrific dream than anything. How will you even punish an AI model? I think the cyberpunk trope is a bit out of touch from reality, but a lighter version of it can definitely happen where we do get AI companies and entire board coups replacing CEOs with AI for short amounts of time, but in the end people (both consumers and investors) will want something to blame and punish properly, and they will also want control (realistically if you told any of the big people in the AI scene you're replacing them with a model they will definitely reject and claim they are needed for the company to prosper)
In addition this will probably only happen on America as most movies take place lol
I can't name one but I can tell you these models keep getting stupider as they keep existing and their system prompts get inflated with what not to do. I have experienced this happen with Qwen 3.8 Max Preview where for the early days it was blasting through Rust code fine and then before the release it silently got replaced and started to suck hard. Claude still has the "blue button" problem so it is probable that a casual chat with it could have this exact outcome of forgetting what to do. I saw some models also have this thing where when you tell them a text restriction they first ignore it in thinking, creating the full text and then apply them in their thinking rewriting it fully causing your output tokens to be inflated.
I was on 24H2 and recently went to 25H2 for app compat reasons. I havent even been updating my Nvidia drivers for months, stuck in the 5xx releases because whenever I update to the latest studio drivers which are supposed to be stable, the computer fails to wake up from sleep and hibernation.
If you do not think this is a possibility I guess you must see the world as sunshine and rainbows and corportaions working for our best interest, I don't know what to tell you. Evwrythinf can happen when your employee count is high.
>Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei in a lengthy essay published on Saturday warned that a “Chinese lead in AI would pose grave danger for the United States and the world.”
What a comedy. What about you make your AI models affordable and open weights so "The World" does not have to rely on Chinese models.
Also whoever monitoring these agents, in this case not monitoring. This "Who is responsible" dilemma is so stupid. If I gave the AI tool means to kill a person but I did not tell it directly to use it and it uses it anyway then I am responsible for it.
The infamous PIL DOS errors, rooting from the library refusing to process images larger than a hard limit. Does this mean though JXL does not have that data accesible quickly?
Of course it does, with one you have to render twice and store two layers which costs you both compute and storage. With the other you can just take the image mid decode at a point and display it. Single decode operation, no layer mess.
Heretic is an awesome tool and I'd prefer Heretic over the "Proprietary weight-level abliteration developed by the dealignai research team" or manual labor model surgery. Since Heretic models are not often called "Abiterated" on HF but are called "Uncensored" or "Heretic" I may have gotten a bit confused there. From what I know, HauhauCS also uses Heretic so it should be the same as Heretic ones in benchmarks.
Heating consumes a lot, because of this at least in some of Europe we still use natural gas over electricity. This allows your only energy spending to basically become a television and a fridge, sometimes your washing machine and dishwasher.
Absolutely, even for personal use sometimes you need API access like letting a local model access the internet or even a small python script to search and filter related research papers to your thesis. Limiting all API access behind another paywall is dirty.
I do not like these "surgical removals" and would rather prefer a pass over from a tool like Heretic. These surgical removals often trigger and analyze the activated neurons and erase them. This worked fine on older models where a single refusal vector existed. Now these "abliterated" models all suffer from catastrophic breakage because they are not as simple anymore. HauhauCS (on HF) for example, makes great uncensored models although they often work on smaller models rather than large ones like this.
Non-zero chance if LLMs have access to the data required to make a bioweapon a regular person can do so too. Non-zero chance every second a meteor could hit you.
If it lets people play League on Linux thats a deal most will take. Tech people overestimate how much a normie cares about the anticheat or their data being sent to wherever.
