One thing about vinyl that I've noticed is that you don't have a play list, you listen to the whole album. No one puts on a vinyl record to play one song.

I used to have a huge folder where I dumped all my music files and I would have them play at random. When I streamed online, I would have a play list or pick one song at a time.

Lately I've been going through some of my favorite arists and listening to each of their albums in chronological order.

Listening to the entire album as the artist intended is just a little different and it's how I play music for myself now. Perhaps people like vinyl because it encourages listening to the entire album in one sitting.

Maybe you are lucid dreaming but you don't know how to control it yet.

Oh look, enough time in the week for 2 jobs!

Yes... if we breed robot cats for thousands of years.

As a super fan of roguelikes I appreciate the recommendation.

Couldn't you keep hiring surrogates until you get a premature birth?

I think you might be interested in Adam Curtis' "century of the self" if long documentaries are your thing.

Didn't the kids go into debt to learn how the world really works?

This is how we are. For now.

I take herb pills, and I get crazy dreams if I don't drink enough water with them. Try chugging more water before bed or when you take the pills.

There is probably a certain kind of person that is interested in communicating with beeps and boops.

Is it about the style or look of the product? or is this a "weekly pill organizers are for old people" thing?

People learn to be comfy over time. I dont need to live life like i dont know what I'm doing.

Getting old rocks, but maybe that says more about the terrible quality of life during my younger years then it does about current year.

Given how loosely the Interstate Commerce Clause has been interpreted in the past, why not say people from out of state want to live there and it's interstate commerce?

You could make third parties viable with an alternative electoral system such as Ranked Choice voting.

Replacing First Past The Post voting with an alternative voting system will eliminate any chance of a spoiler effect. People could feel safe in the fact that if the party that best represents them doesn't make it, their vote will continue to be counted throughout the election.

More political parties means more representation, and a bigger portion of the population being involved in the electoral process.

More competition means higher quality representation, even from established parties.

Homelessness > shanty towns

3d printed houses exist. Why not crank out a ton of em in the middle of nowhere and build dedicated passenger rail into a metro location?

Can't afford to go to Yellowstone. All my money goes to living expenses.

Want people to live in the sticks? Free housing, next to high speed rail that runs into the nearby metro area.

If employees equally owned the businesses they work for, falling salaries wouldnt be as tragic a event as the employees would be compensated still by the company being worth more.

But I don't want windows 11.

What about the body autonomy to put what drugs I want in my own body?

Has chicken feed risen in price the last 4 years?

We could legalize all drugs so people can have access to clean drugs of a known potency.

Is there a cheaper insurance company then these two?

How long till we break up these colluding market forces so there is some redundancy?

Sounds like the real crisis is that it costs a tiny bit more money doing it the old fashioned way.

I guess increasing supply isn't profitable enough compared to artificial scarcity.
