taaha47··on The Relation Between Mathematics and Physics by Paul Dirac (1939)
"I would like to put forward a suggestion as to how such a scheme might be realized. If we express the present epoch, 2 x 109 years, in terms of a unit of time defined by the atomic constants, we get a number of the order 1039, which characterizes the present in an absolute sense. Might it not be that all present events correspond to properties of this large number, and, more generally, that the whole history of the universe corresponds to properties of the whole sequence of natural numbers? At first sight it would seem that the universe is far too complex for such a correspondence to be possible. But I think this objection cannot be maintained, since a number of the order 1039 is excessively complicated, just because it is so enormous. We have a brief way of writing it down, but this should not blind us to the fact that it must have excessivly complicated properties."

this cannot be an early hint to the result made by chaitin; Chaitin’s Incompleteness Theorem?

taaha47··on Superintelligence Cannot Be Contained: Lessons from Computability Theory
I agree, take a thousand brain theory book for instance, the author argues that artificial intelligence will never be a threat to humanity, since it won't have motives like we do. Primal motives are hardwired in our brain, they are actually shortcut to our muscles that our intelligence possesses no control over. On the other hand, the neocortext, the part of the brain that is actually intelligent, doesn't exhibit such motives... Creating intelligence that mimics ours is just bad design, artificial intelligence will probably look a lot different than ours.
taaha47··on Why Decentralised Applications Don’t Work
The point was it has deviated from it's original purpose which is a decentralized, identity free financial system.

Dark markets apart, it has almost no practical use today. I've read some comments on people sending money cross borders using bitcoin, the author might have overlooked this. Anyways, without numbers it is mere speculations... What is interesting in his article is the fact that decentralized solutions are deviating from their original purpose, becoming less powerful, and centralized.
