Sounds like a total chump. Why do these individuals spew these utterances voluntarily? I'm guessing it is something driven from an internal company decision so this individual now has to evangelize it as gospel to the naysayers.
This does make me chuckle. The workers for facebook inc. who make write the very software that spies on everybody is up in arms about being spied on. They forget what a grifter that the Zuck is.
I work to live and not to make a billionaire even richer off my back. The rank and file who are clued in don't spew this dross but those with most to gain do. You can always tell those with skin in the game.
I fear a lot of the web will become like the old USENET newsgroups filled with spam garbage which made the whole thing unusable in the end. The ability of AI to pump out slop to any forum from unlimited accounts will kill the internet.
I can't say I've noticed specifically. I have two tracfone accounts and a Cricket account so used to use the Android phone with Cricket after two months - a free phone. But tracfone was bought by Verizon and they being them immediately changed the unlock period from two months to a year. So that to me kills my use case of free smartphones as I don't want to spend any money on phones.
The Vivaldi team have a long history of closed source browser development. I mean I was using Opera almost 30 years ago so I don't have any concerns about it being closed source. But you do you.
Totally agree. It is the best browser across all platforms of mobile and desktop for me. I read on here all the excuses others make for not using Vivaldi but they don't pass the smell test for me. Long may Vivaldi prosper.
Probably it's a very low request priority. I use Vivaldi on Android with the built in blocking at strict. The last thing I remotely have interest in are Extensions in Android Vivalid.
I'm at that point in my working life that I don't care about AI but I'd hate to be starting out or mid-career where I need to pay attention. I sometimes wonder if the glory years of tech are drawing to a close and it's time to draw a line under it before it changes too much. AI has tentacles into everything but the reason I do this career is that certain areas of work provide enjoyment. If AI takes that away then I would care less to do the job and be less invested to go the extra yard. I feel there's goodwill in employees that will get sucked out the more AI intrudes into our daily lives.
What a quite absurd conclusion. If you want to use your camera then just use it and stop looking for excuses. I find people who moan about the OS UI are just nitpicking. Nothing is perfect and it's there to provide utility for the task at hand. Pick one and get on with life.
People in the early days developed enough vi skills to allow them to get by. You could always be sure vi was installed on a remote system you were trying to access in the 90s. You also couldn't install stuff on this system and maybe you were accessing it from an ASCII terminal hooked into the serial port. This typically happened in a data center when you're trying to awkwardly use the terminal due to lack of space. Today I doubt that holds.
