Could be attributed to app developers going the extra mile, but I suspect it's the framework choice.
Also oculus works fine over the "charging" type c cable + type-c to type-a + a classic copper usb3.0 extender of another 1.8 meters.
Hopefully the French law would protect them from a lawsuit

Can you link some examples that you think would gladly process data-migrations that are 1-2GiB large?
Delivery is "at least once".
However disk persistency is done with nats-streaminh and i had big issues with it's Raft file based store, where it would stop accepting messages after a short network issue, and not get unstuck unless I destroy the whole nats-streaming data storage amd start from scratch.
Also raft means 3x disk usage for one queue, since its fully replicated
Was very impressed with how little RAM and CPU it consumed under load.
Oculus desktop software gives you a yellow mark, but games still work.
It's not an outlandish amount of work, if lots of people chip in with their favorite source.
It works quite well, has vibrant community, and support for ripping twitter and instagram feeds among dozens of other sites. It also has a browser extension to help discover available feeds on sites that it can digest - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/rsshub-radar-...
There's also a Chrome extension, but that one is not translated from Chinese yet.
