symlinkk··on Jabra denies support for Elite 85t Bluetooth earbuds on computers
This kind of shit is why I just went with AirPods Max.

How do they act? I just started taking buspirone for crippling social anxiety and I’m not sure if it’s helping or not.
symlinkk··on Meta Is Transferring Jest to the OpenJS Foundation
I wonder when they will do the same for Flow. The Flow VSCode extension is already abandoned - https://github.com/flow/flow-for-vscode
symlinkk··on Mental illness, attention deficit disorder, and suffering
Where’d you hear that? It works quite well on people without ADHD
symlinkk··on Mental illness, attention deficit disorder, and suffering
I think you’re purposely pretending like you don’t know what I’m talking about. Adderall gives you euphoria, focus, and energy whether you have ADHD or not. For people without ADHD it’s kind of like a strong cup of coffee.
symlinkk··on Mental illness, attention deficit disorder, and suffering
I mean, anyone benefits from Adderall whether you have ADHD or not. How are you so sure you really have it?

symlinkk··on Canada bans foreign home buyers for two years
This is well written and is something I noticed too during my own house hunt: houses owned by teachers, plumbers, and car mechanics were getting fought over by engineers, doctors, and lawyers.
symlinkk··on Mortgage rates just hit 5%. Buying a home has become a lot more expensive
Are you accounting for the equity you’re building by paying a mortgage vs paying rent?
symlinkk··on Mortgage rates just hit 5%. Buying a home has become a lot more expensive
5% is that bad when you’re combining it with doubled house prices over the last 2 years
symlinkk··on A PCIe network interface card that adds full router capabilities to your servers
For real. I’ve read through half this thread and have no idea what this is for.

This is such a HN answer.

Rambling post, hard to follow or understand
symlinkk··on CD sales grow for first time since 2004
It is pretty hard to rip Blu Rays, from my surface level understanding only one piece of software supports it (MakeMKV), and only certain Blu Ray drives with specific versions of firmware support it.
symlinkk··on CD sales grow for first time since 2004
You’re confusing physical formats with the advantages of ownership.

You can own DRM free digital files and have all of the same advantages, plus also enjoy the ease of use of digital.

The only problem is there is no legal way of obtaining DRM free digital copies of movies or tv shows. For music you have Bandcamp and (I think) iTunes.

symlinkk··on Amazon lied about using seller data, lawmakers say, urging DOJ investigation
I bought an Amazon basics monitor stand and it even had the branding of another company (Ergotron) printed on it.

How are house prices at $400k and the average American can’t handle an extra $40/mo in gas?
symlinkk··on Fire extinguished at Ukraine nuclear power plant, Europe's largest
No offense but this is pretty far fetched.

First of all, if Putin wanted to level Kiev he could do it with conventional bombs and artillery. Nuclear weapons are not needed.

But second of all, *why* would he want to flatten Kiev? Why don’t you read his goals in his own words? https://web.archive.org/web/20220224024154/http://en.kremlin...

He says he sees Russians and Ukrainians as one people and wants to unify them. No, I’m not defending him, I oppose war in all circumstances.

But it’s important to understand that he’s not some evil maniac out of a comic book that wants to kill everybody, he has actual goals.

symlinkk··on What happened to Russias Air Force? U.S. officials, experts stumped
This is my theory (disclaimer: I have no clue what I’m talking about). They don’t want to show all their cards to the West.

symlinkk··on Tinder’s pricing algorithm can charge users up to 5x more for same service
Funny that a few years ago this was an “incel” opinion and would get you banned from Reddit. Now it’s practically common sense
