suprnurd··on Show HN: We built an MCP for Windows – ask Claude about CPU, temps, and privacy
Thanks! We just released an update a few days ago with some new languages (Chinese/Turkish), and we now show idle time on the graph.
suprnurd··on Show HN: We built an MCP for Windows – ask Claude about CPU, temps, and privacy
The server can't modify anything on your PC. It's read-only and local.

The MCP queries AppControl's local database and passes the results to your AI client and you must give consent for every tool type. Check the source also to confirm.

It's possible to use Ollama or something if you wanted to run this 100% local.

suprnurd··on Show HN: We built an MCP for Windows – ask Claude about CPU, temps, and privacy
You can ask questions like "Did any applications access my webcam while my PC was idle, and if so which ones?" Glad to answer any questions!
suprnurd··on Ring won't store your camera data without a subscription unless it is important
Yes. I was waiting for someone to write something about this. It was a Google Nest camera though, not Ring if you can fix the title.
suprnurd··on Show HN: AppControl – A Modern Windows Task Manager with History
Thanks for trying it! For us one of the most important things was to make it fun because Task Manager can be trying at times. :)
suprnurd··on Show HN: AppControl – A Modern Windows Task Manager with History
The app was built with Flutter and we just launched it today. Please let me know any questions/comments.
suprnurd··on Rivian Unveils Custom Silicon, R2 Lidar Roadmap, and Universal Hands Free
Where I live I am often surrounded by Waymo vehicles... is Lidar 100% safe for people to be around? I ask because I read an article about how Lidar on one of the new Volvos could destroy your phone camera if you pointed it at it? If Lidar can do that to a phone camera, can it hurt your eyes?
suprnurd··on What's Next? Clippy Copilot?
Someone already made a Clippy AI Assistant as kind of a joke I think. :) https://github.com/FireCubeStudios/Clippy
suprnurd··on Show HN: Detail, a Bug Finder
Looking forward to this working with Gitlab!
suprnurd··on Myocardial Fibrosis in Athletes: Risk Marker or Physiological Adaptation?
Several of the people I exercise with have ended up having serious cardiac issues that seem to be related to endurance exercise.

I always try to be careful to take off enough rest days myself, but maybe that doesn't even matter and it comes from cumulative adaptation?

suprnurd··on The RAM shortage comes for us all
I read online that Apple uses three different RAM suppliers supposedly? I wonder if Apple has the ability to just make their own RAM?
suprnurd··on Show HN: I built Magiclip – an all-in-one AI studio
Looks nice! Any success stories/examples yet?
suprnurd··on Show HN: Jeffrey Epstein's Inbox
Cool idea! I clicked "shopping" along with the other sections, but it wouldn't load for me. Using Chrome with Windows.
suprnurd··on How cops can get your private online data
I've never even heard of a "super warrant"... until this article.
suprnurd··on Show HN: I build a cheap Skype Clone
At first I thought the UI shot was just a screenshot... but it was actually a functioning UI. Nice!
suprnurd··on Show HN: Vetr.is – Privacy-First Cloud in Iceland
The site looks great, I like the animations with the trees. What privacy advantages does Iceland have vs the EU or USA?
suprnurd··on Show HN: I made a website to track my own subscriptions
What makes me feel frustrated is how even when your card expires, all merchants can still keep charging your card even though you didn't provide the new expiration date/info.

It's really great for merchants to keep charging I guess, and I'll admit it's annoying to have to put your card in every place when it expires, but it seemed to protect everyone against subscriptions building up indefinitely forever... am I wrong?

suprnurd··on Show HN: Land use visualization for European countries
Nice animation when switching countries! I also want to compare countries as mewpmewp2 suggests.

A ranking of countries by category would be nice also! For example which has the most urban area.

suprnurd··on Show HN: Pxxl App – A Nigerian Alternative to Vercel, Render, and Netlify
Looks great! You write you want to make cloud deployment accessible to African developers. What kind of issues do African developers run into usually that they won't with Pxxl?
suprnurd··on Show HN: I built a local-first podcast app
Cool idea! I was playing with the app and I was curious why do some of the podcasts say "requires proxy" in red? Thanks!
suprnurd··on Interstellar Object 3I/Atlas Passed Mars Last Night
Looking forward to seeing what images they received, especially after Avi Loeb's comments on it.
suprnurd··on Show HN: BetterBrain – Dementia prevention, covered by insurance
In my area (USA) it's pretty much impossible to get in with a neurologist unless you want to wait like 6 months. Do you have to meet with a neurologist at some point with your service? I will check the free link now, thanks!
suprnurd··on Show HN: Enhance – A Terminal UI for GitHub Actions
Looks nice. What all do you get if you join insiders? Thanks!
suprnurd··on Genomic analyses of hair from Ludwig van Beethoven (2023)
It's kind of crazy that we can pull Beethoven’s health history and even family secrets? out of a few strands of hair...
suprnurd··on Show HN: Peanut – A Modern Money App
I actually really like the website. Do you support US also, or just EU (Portugal?)? Thanks!
suprnurd··on Launch HN: Airweave (YC X25) – Let agents search any app
Looks great! It's cool how you are able to unify multiple sources into a single searchable layer. I’m curious how you chose which connectors to support first (e.g. GitHub, Notion, Slack) and how you plan to scale connector coverage? Thanks!
