For me, the best sentence in the essay was "Nothing made him angrier than making something simple sound complicated".
sunilkumarc··on A command line script to remind you to drink water
Once I had written a bash script to show a bubble notification on your linux machine after every X minutes, to remind you that you needed to be working. Just like in the hollow man movie.

I had written this script because I used to get distracted a lot while working.

sunilkumarc··on Dwitter – A social network for short JavaScript demos
I'm not understanding this. How is animation happening? What is S(t)? Can somebody please explain this project?

sunilkumarc··on Show HN: Watch and hear macOS robots argue live in your terminal

I had never heard of codingame.com. This looks really interesting. Thanks for mentioning!
sunilkumarc··on More than one million requests per second in Node.js
I don't understand why you would say this benchmark is useless. As we can see from the wiki, the core http module can handle just 65k requests/second. But the new websockets approach can handle a million requests/second. I think this is astonishing.
sunilkumarc··on Google’s SRE book is now public
I feel the title is not informative enough. I'm also surprised, there are so little comments on something which is about Google!

I don't have a subscription to WSJ. Could someone provide any other link with the same news?

sunilkumarc··on How do you manage job and side projects?
One more thing I wanted to know is, how often do you guys practice coding competitive Data Structures and Algorithm questions? I feel it is very important to crack interviews these days.
sunilkumarc··on How do you manage job and side projects?
I agree. In my case, I spend around 3-3.5 hours in commute everyday. This is the biggest challenge for me. After I get back home, I feel very tired and don't feel like doing anything.
